A 30 year old receiver with no QB. Cutler > Smith He's going to torch us, but this doesn't make the Jets better than us, let alone good. This is leverage for Harvin to take a pay cut or get cut. I'm thinking we can try Harvin on a cheap deal since we don't have any receivers at the moment. I think he'd fit great with Landry, Matthews, and the transient phantom of Mike Wallace staying on the team this season.
Not scared of Foles. One year wonder w/Chip Kelly's offense leading the way. Though, Marshall (albeit an older version) and Decker are nice duo to pair with any QB.
How can the Eagles make that trade now with no guarantee that Mariotta will be available at #6? The only way that deal happens is on draft day with the Jets on the clock and Mariotta still available. As far as Foles goes, he would make the Jets better just like Marshall does. It will be interesting to see how it plays out if Mariotta is still available when the Jets pick.
No, he had one really good season. don't make generalizations about a whole career, as short as it has been
there's a difference in my opinion. Foles had a very good year, but he's already come back down to earth and looks below average. that's why Kelly likely has interest in trading up to get Mariotta. Tannehill had a good year (calling it okay is wrong), so he has just as much of a chance to have another good year which would already make him more consistent than Foles. If Tannehill regresses next year, then you can spew the cynicism some more.
You do realize he was on pace to best RT in yards and come up 1 TD short last year, albeit with more interceptions......I don't think he is washed by any means and is a VAST improvement over Smith.....
So much for all of KB's huffing and puffing about how coaches hate Brandon Marshall. Todd Bowles seems to have a positive enough impression from both men's time with the Dolphins.
