Watching the Hard Knocks show on HBO, and this Bennett kid looks like he is not going to make it unless a light switch goes off. Kid is resisting everything and anything the coaches try to do with him! Sometimes I dont' get these guys. They had a long segment on Zach. He laid out a rookie too pretty hard.
He's a very talented player, out of Texas A & M I believe. Did they say what his weight was? He was 248 pounds coming out according to NFL.com. I figured he'd be up there in the 270's because he played basketball.
Naw they didn't. They just showing dragging every single scene he's in, across two episodes so far. But I'm watching Zach right now. They are raving the crap out of him, but of course, they are hamming it up somewhat for the cameras. Talking about they have to kick him out of meetings or what not.
Oh. He better shape up. He's very talented but I guess he has a lack of work ethic. Zach said he is trying to prove all his doubters all over again but this time because of his injury. He says that everyone was saying he wouldn't be the same after the concussion but he says he feels great and is ready to play. I hope he doesn't get injured.
He said specifically he's trying to prove Parcells wrong. Parcells told him he was being let go because he's 35, and he respected the honesty, but he was going to prove him wrong. But according to that article, Parcells let him go because his LBs need to be tall. He said that is un-negotiable.

The guy has an ipod on in the pregame coaching segment, when the coach is showing him some plays or strategy or what not, and he's not even listening. His first NFL game. Incredible.
I was thinking the same thing when watching last night. Glad we stayed away from him. and yes it was quite nice to see Zach again.
