He could be a defensive end in their nickel package. They do a good job of moving him around, so it will be tough to get a read on where he's lining up."
________________________________________________However, one way teams have had success against Wake is by attacking him through the air. Twice in their preseason game against Tampa Bay Week 3, the Bucs showed how to exploit this deficiency.
In the first quarter, Wake abandoned his area of the field by going after a tight end, allowing running back LeGarette Blount to catch a pass and take off for a 52-yard gain. Later in the game, the linebacker was late getting to his assignment and allowed tight end Daniel Hardy to go over the middle for a 22-yard completion.

Wake will be doubled, and chipped, and the rest of it, JT/Misi/DE's have to amp it up.
This would be a great game for Odie to make his mark.

I recall that in one of the preseason games we were discussing how surprised we were that it was JT who was getting doubled and chipped rather than Wake.

Well, they used to do the same to him in the CFL, at times they used 3 blockers on him and it didn't matter, but clearly he is going to face more schemes designed to minimize his impact, this is why Odie's play in the preseason should give us all a boost, he showed that explosiveness from the interior of the Dline, that will take a big load off of Wake if it holds true during the regular season.

This needs to be tightened up. Nolan needs to scheme ways to make sure that on the vast majority of passing snaps Wake is rushing instead of dropping.

I think we have to move him around tremendously..so they don't know where the fu%$ he is coming from, and they can't iso him..Let the Kracken loose, I mean seriously..
