Matt Moore is not getting the "savior Qb" treatment..thank goodness

padre31luxury_boxOPAh, that time of yr, another Training Camp, another "new" Qb in town, but this yr it is a bit different.
No one has made these absurd statements:
"He can be our #1 Qb"
"Very underrated, and a young player, he can..."
Which is refreshing, we have had more then our share of Trent Green's and Cleo Lemons and whomevers, not that Moore is Joey Harrington, he can play a bit, but it is nice for a change to see "us" not overreact to the latest #2 Qb who is brought in to hold the clipboard and maybe play a couple of Qtrs in the preseason.

Imho, Moore fits that old saying about the #2 Qb "he can win 3 games off of the bench, if you keep him out there, he will lose you 3 games as well"

Most likly true with any of the QBs we have!

Tin Indianforum_veteranNobody is saying it cause noone is thrilled by Matt Moore. Who knows, maybe he's better than Henne, but I don't see it. The most important position on the field, and arguably our weakest position, we have done virtually nothing to improve it.
That's why noone is crowing about Moore being our savior.

I would rather have Cleo lemon then Matt Moore. I hate Matt Moore with a passion. I feel like qbs like Matt Moore and Luke McCown are the laughing stocks of the NFL qb wise. I feel like they bring down our franchise as a whole. I wish we had Joey Harrington rather than Matt Moore. Plus Matt Moore it's proven that he sucks. I hope we cut him very soon.

I don't understand these posts. We HAVE been looking into the QB situation. I like Orton but the Broncos are asking a fortune for him. The Eagles wanted a fortune for Kolb who has proved nothing in the NFL. Vince Young is a mental headcase. Who else do you want? Bulger? Delhomme? I actually really like that the Dolphins didn't severely overpay for a QB who wasn't worth it. It looks like they are sticking with Henne and I'm happy with that. By all accounts he has been proving a lot this offseason by stepping up as the leader. Let's see how it plays out. Matt Moore ins't bad either.

Hmm, to me he is "okay" I do not think he will win you many games nor will he lose you many.

Well...I'll say here and now, I like Matt Moore. Liked him in college and am glad he is a Dolphin. IMO he isn't as bad as many here want us to believe. His arm is not as bad as some here want us to believe. He doesn't have a Henne Howitzer, but few do. He does show that he is capable of good timing, touch and accuracy IMO. He lacks consistency at this point. While he did not play well last season, he did play part of the time with a torn right labrum, or so I recall reading.
If he does earn the chance to start at any time, excuse me if I am happy for him.

Funny thing is, Sparano specifically mentioned that Dorrell had a relationship with Moore at UCLA, that ended badly, which was one of the reasons why some thought he would not come to Miami.

Hey man, I like Moore too. But I still have faith that Henne can get it done.
