The Panthers are interested in QB Matt Ryan if he falls to them at No. 13 in the draft. The team is allegedly so high on Ryan that he'd be their choice if they had the No. 1 pick. Conventional wisdom has the Panthers drafting an offensive tackle, defensive end, or even a running back in the first round, but a franchise-altering quarterback may be too enticing to pass up. so given this... why are we not talking to the panthers about trading then our #1 pick if we really want to get rid of it! Knowing this, Bill & Jeff should be out there going... well... you know... maybe we DO need Matt Ryan on this team... lets try and negotiate... hmmm just a thought..
I heard they are looking to trade up ahead of the Ravens but I dont think they have enough to trade up with us
Their first likely trade target would, sadly, be the Patsies. They are a team that loves to trade down and stockpile picks, can still get a player at 13 they really want (a top CB or LT) and its not a massive jump for Carolina as moving up to #1 would be. They still have Delhomme dont forget. While hes hardly worth passing up Ryan, he gives them a backup if they cant find a decent deal or he is long gone before their range.
