Blame this regime for that one. They could have soleved this problem in 2008 in one of two ways and chose neither. And on Mayock, he used alot of words to basically say "I need more information." thanks Mike. Get back to me later.
Ok. I agree. But workouts are all that's left. No more games on the schedule. And I really don't need to hear Mike Mayock say the he needs more info. Go out and get the info and then report something.
And..welcome to how the NFL Draft Hype Machine works, as if Mayock has not watched film on Newton..of course he has, but he has to claim to have examined him and really liked his game..so he is moving up! Jake Locker will go the other way, with much fanfarce, that is how 95% of this stuff works, they tell you what you already know, then obscure what you'd like to know for as long as possible, meanwhile release Mock Drafts and updated Mock drafts and appears on shows to argue about the minor flaws in some player's game..that is how it is for the next 80 something days.
The only guarantee in the Draft season every year is that Mike Mayock will contradict himself at least 12 times. Right now he's talking about how not important a workout in shorts is. Tomorrow he'll talk about how important it is for QBs to throw at the Combine. During the Senior Bowl broadcast he said about Kendric Burney that he's a really good player but what he runs in Indy will determine his round. During the Combine broadcast he WILL say that what the guys run here doesn't affect their draft grade much, because most of the scouting on them is already done.
What? Come on Ck, Mayock has not watched any film or researched Newton by now? I'd find that extremely difficult to believe, a guy like Kaepernik, sure, he played out West and came on as a prospect late, Netwon's game film has been out since November of 2010 with only the Title game left, and that was over a month and a half ago, Mayock may be playing the hype game, but he surely has watched film on Newton. Besides: Maybe pumping up some smoke for trade purposes, but taking him would make sense for the Bills and Bengals.
