I'm glad the De La Hoya rematch isn't happening (snooze-fest). But I really wished he and Cotto could have rumbled.

I'm still pissed that I dropped $60 (or whatever it was) on that PPV...even though I ended up splitting it with three other guys.

Surprised he won't sleepwalk through another garbage fight with De La Hoya for another huge paycheck. That fight sucked, I watched it for free in Afghanistan (American Forces Network gets things like that for free for Soldiers) and I still paid too much.

The biggest injustice, IMO, was that the judges tried to give it to De La Hoya. I don't see how anyone could have scored it close, much less for Oscar.

Tell you what though, that knockout of Hatton was one of the slickest and most impressive I'd seen. He flat beat up that guy up, and then posterized him at the end.

I couldnt agree with you more. I was shocked about that during that fight.

Im also shocked that Mayweather is retiring. I thought he was pretty young??? I dont follow much boxing, but this is a surprise to me... however as is aid, i dont know his age, so maybe it shouldnt be much of a surprise.

I think he's in his early thirties, around 32 or 33. Not quite sure though. I think he is going on the record as being "semi-retired" again. With the way he explained it, it means he will randomly fight lol.

    EDIT: Just checked, he's 31.

seems strange to me. he could have made a boatload of cash(not that he probably needs it) to fight de la hoya again... to each their own i guess...

Yeah, who knows with him. He's a complicated guy it seems. But hey, maybe he will contribute to WWE again lol. They'll pay him 20 million a match like they did at the PPV event.

I think its either BS and he fights again pretty soon, or he thinks Cotto is a legit threat.

Not that he needs it... Tells this to Evander Holyfield, he has pissed away 248 million. And the fact that I see Floyd constantly with money out in cash, makes me think he isn't putting it all away.

Boxers saying they are retiring is about as convincing as Clinton saying he did not have sex with that woman.
