I got it last night (take that EA!), and it's pretty cool. Only put in about 30 mins. Presentation (menus and stuff) is top notch. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercenaries_2:_World_in_Flames Anyone plan to play it?
Damn you! Been looking forward to this game since it was announced, the first one was great. Waiting for PS3 release on Sunday. ...Must get Xbox 360 and find someone to mod it...
Yeah, I'm in Miramar. If I get an Arcade after the price drop, we can discuss that issue. I'll keep you posted.

I played the first and I thought Lucasarts and Pandemic did a good job at it. When I heard EA was attached, wasn't as enthused. I'd give it a rental first.
My friend was one of the testers, game sounds pretty cool but I think it's pretty buggy (EA, it's to be expected I suppose). They're working on a patch though.
Its fun. It is buggy though. The fun thing is, there are many different ways to complete a mission. The mission is almost always about destruction. So you have tons of tools and tricks up your sleeve. For example, on one mission to blow up a building (there are tons of building blowup missions so no spoilers here) I could have ordered a multitute of bombs, carpet bomb, regular bomb, etc. Or stolen a tank and just go blast the building. Or sneak inside and ordered a bomb hit. But I instead got caught and was being chased. So a helicopter comes around chasing the crap out of me. I hijack the helicopter then go back towards the building, land on a building quite far away. Then I equip the laser guided missile. poin the laser at the building and boom, it's gone. It's fun. Don't look for anything more though. And oh yeah, buggy. Save often.
Yeah at first I was like meh. But I'm a resource whore. I don't spend money or munitions until I have a lot. I don't know why. Because once I do, the games I play become more fun. I rent all my games. Gamefly. I get all the new games as they ship (with the ol queue trick) and pay $30/month for 3 games.
