[Merged] Avatar/profile images help

Up until right now I've never had any problems switching my avatar. Now all of a sudden I'm unable to import anything. Neither from picture files nor document files.
I haven't made any changes to my PC. Nor am I trying to import too large a file. In fact I was trying to switch back to an avatar that I had previously used.
Help please?
Also apologies if this should have gone in the general questions forum. It was a toss up in my opinion.

As an "old guy" (47), could someone please explain how to add a picture as my avatar?

click usercp-> on the left you'll see it says "Your Control Panel" go to subheading Settings and Options -> click on Edit Avatar. You'll see another page load. Either choose one of thepins custom avatars or you can upload your own. To upload your own click browse, it should show you the folders on your desktop then go to where the avatar is that you wish to use and click open. If the avatar is on a server somewhere just copy and paste the address under where it says option 1.

Actually, there was a problem on the server side of things. Should be fixed now. Thank you for bringing it to our attention. :)
