OK...I love Shula, but I am just wondering why a new statue was needed. What was wrong with the other statue at the stadium?

So now there are 2 statues at the stadium for him? I know...he is one of the greatest ever and what he has done, and still does, for us and the game. I just don't get why there needed to be a new statue, when a perfectly good statue was already there.

The one I posted is the old one. The new one has him on the shoulders of players being carried off the field.

He also now has a NFL award named after him. I'm glad the league is finally giving him his props.

I agree with who ever else said it. The stadium should forever be know as Don Shula Stadium.

I think its great and a reminder of the perfect season. There is nothing more fitting depicting the tradition that is Miami Dolphin football and the pride that goes with it.
I think one player holding him on his shoulder is #85 Nick Buoniconti, who is the other one? -
I cannot remember for sure. -
