Dom DeLuise passes away at 75 I remember this guy from the Cannonball Run movies, and thought he was pretty funny, and a really good cook. R.I.P. Dom. Dom DeLuise, the portly actor-comedian whose affable nature made him a popular character actor for decades with movie and TV audiences as well as directors and fellow actors, has died. He was 75. DeLuise died Monday night, son Michael DeLuise told KTLA-TV and radio station KNX on Tuesday. The comedian died in his sleep after a long illness. Calls to his agent were not immediately returned. The actor, who loved to cook and eat almost as much as he enjoyed acting, also carved out a formidable second career later in life as a chef of fine cuisine. He authored two cookbooks and would appear often on morning TV shows to whip up his favorite recipes. http://omg.yahoo.com/news/dom-deluise-actor-comedian-and-chef-dies/22136?nc A clip from his early days with the legendary Dean Martin : [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbBoEfRuCa8"]YouTube - Dean Martin & Dom DeLuise[/ame]
RIP Dom. Ironic, I was thinking of him just a couple days ago when I noticed that all his kids are in show business as well; son Peter directed a lot of the SG1 episodes.
Just thinking back has brought me a fair share of goosebumps. Dom was more than simply entertaining, and had the kind of physical comedy to where he could make you laugh without barely saying anything. RIP Dom, and thank you for the great entertainment & memories.
Your sig ROCKS! If you want to see DeLuise in some of his funniest moments, rent any of the flicks he did with Burt Reynolds and go to the closing credits; the outtakes from some of those are enough to bring tears to your eyes.
Thanks brother! A long while back when I asked on here what would bring about more 'thanked' posts and it was to put a hot chick in my sig... Well there she is!
Huge fan of Dom. Love him in The End. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qNEhNbjO0Po"]YouTube - The End Trailer Dom DeLuise Burt Reynolds[/ame]
