Camarillo getting some first-team work http://blogs.palmbeachpost.com/thed.../greg-camarillo-getting-some-first-team-work/ Fresh Phins: Miami Dolphins' Tuesday practice http://blogs.sun-sentinel.com/sport...9/fresh-phins-dolphins-saturday-practice.html
Some interesting info on Greg C, Hilliard, Greg Camarillo Well, if Hilliard is to make the 53man he will have to block better than I've seen him block during the preseason, and GregC running with the first team is no surprise, that 50yd run last game did not go unnoticed. I still think Hartline will start this season, maybe not on opening day, but he will start.
Nahh, we keep Camarillo. You don't get rid of players like him. Class acts that give it their all no matter what. IMO, London will be outside looking in.
London is a goner. Camarillo starts opposite Ginn. Hartline, Bess and Turner will battle throughout the season for the number 3 spot
Yeah, I also think London will be the odd man out if we're going with 5 WRs. And actually to me, 5 WRs makes sense since we're supposed to be a run first offense. Camarillo? Probably the guy starting opposite Ginn for now. But who knows Hartline may yet win out. I could see Camarillo being traded if the price was right. You never can tell what a team will offer for a guy. No one would have guessed that someone would actually give up a 2 (and 7) for a Wes Welker. But I do not believe he's being actively shopped. I just can't see it. Right now we seem to be waiting/hoping for some of these WRs to step up and distinguish himself. Do you really want to give up the wrong one? So IMO looking to get rid of them now would seem to be pretty premature.
Aint a chance in hell Camarillo goes anywhere outside of a genuinely desperate team throwing picks around. Yup, and are generally mocked heavily for it.
I've said it before and I will say it again, Camarillo is the best receiver on this team (right now) and would have been in the Pro Bowl discussion last year had he not got hurt. He will start and he will prove all of you that doubt him and/or want to cut him in favor of a model wrong . . . again. Yes, I am a big Camarillo fan, so I am a bit biased, I will admit that.
I totally disagree. For one Camarillo is behind Bess as Bess out performed him by a great margin when he took over. I also disagree that he would of been in the Pro Bowl discussion.
Ravens fans think we cut Greg C and he winds up in Baltimore because he knows Cam Cameron's offense from 2007. I'd trade Greg C straight up for Yamon Figurs.
i don't know many on this site who don't like CAM ... the problem is having too many 'like' WRs ... that's why CAM is the likely candidate to get moved ... it is not an issue of moving CAM to keep London ... not a chance ... London just benefits IF that happens ...
Yes Bess's are higher and the amount of touchdowns throw by the offense is higher AND converted 3rd and longs.
Maybe this is by design. I don't think it's an accident that we have of them. 1. I think it's safe to assume that the people who evaluate talent here knew the kind of WRs Hartline and Turner are long before they were drafted. 2. It's also safe to say that they were well aware of the similarities shared by Camarillo, and Hartline, as well as what Bess and Ginn bring to the table. 3. Knowing all this they still showed little if any interest in acquiring any of those big name WRs. Not through trade, nor through FA. 4. Yet they also ignored Nicks, Brit, Robiskie, Massaquoi, etc in the draft. I think we have this group because these are the guys that the team wanted.
So wait...the amount of touchdowns thrown by the offense? You're going to give Bess credit for passes thrown to other players? And for a higher percentage of first downs per game, despite as far as I can tell, that stat not being checked? Here's the reality of both of their times as starters being extrapolated over 16 games- Camarillo- 80 catches, 891 yards, 3 TDs Bess- 84 catches, 960 yards, 0 TDs This is not remotely close to true.
