Good for him..he didnt deserve what happened to him last year, which were coaches that had no clue how to implement his skillset into a system, don't expect Brady to come off the field, he's hit rock bottom now, he'll be willing to do whatever bill Belicek wants from him, and to somehow capitalize on the intangibles, the toughness..

Lot of folks sh&$ hard on this guy during this interim..I'm totally interested to see what he could do because I think in order for him to be successful an entirely new offense has to be designed for him, and we know that's not gonna happen, I would think fullback, and maybe short yardage wildcat.

Yeah, there was one team where the Tebow circus wouldn't be a complete disaster and that's the Patriots. I'm sure they'll find a way to get some mileage out of him but he won't be stealing any QB reps from Tammy Brady, that's for sure.

He absolutely deserved what happened. He CHOSE to go to NY, he could have been the starting QB in Jax, where he's already worshiped. He's got no one to blame but himself.

I think the best thing for him is to just sit there and learn as the #3 QB. Going "off the grid" in NFL terms will serve him well; if he makes the team.

Pretty nuts, and I commend Tebow for taking a big bite of humble pie because there is no way he is supplanting Brady.

Then again, this might have been the only offer he got.

    Get off my lawn.
He'll complete 1 pass... and then NE will trade him to somebody for a second round pick.

Well now I have a good reason to hate the Patriots a bit more. Every AFC Easy article we read will now mention Tebow...I thought we were done with that when the Jets canned him after their Jersey selling maneuver

Although maybe its just a joke so they can play him against the Jets and still win?

This is just Skip Bayless paying the Patriots millions of dollars to sign Tebow, just so that he can continue to educate the masses on the greatness that is Timmy T.

Wondering if Belicheat can actually get something positive out of this on the field on game day or is it strictly a third string QB option. The Pats were taken by the Dolphins surprise wildcat and Tebow would be a perfect wildcat option.

I think he can help them in the red zone, especially if Gronkowski is out for any extended time. Not a bad pick up IMO.

We will see the difference in a Rex Ryan coached team with Tebow verse a Belecheat team with Tebow, does coaching really matter?

BB spent a great deal of time studying the Florida offense and incorporated many of it's concepts. I believe that if you put Tebow in a similar offense to what he ran in Florida, he would be successful in the NFL. IMO that's why he was successful (better QBR) in the 4th quarters in Denver. They stopped using a Wanny offense (run, run then pass in the hardest possible situation) and instead let him do what he was best at. I could see BB believing the same thing.

either they use Tebow at TE, where he will be below average, or they take the ball out of the hands of Brady. either way, we win.
I just can't believe Belicheck would be stupid enough to let Tebow ever attempt a pass when you have Brady.

IMO, Brady woluldn't be the Brady we know today without BB. Coaching is the #1 biggest factor in the NFL.

They'd have to spend quite a bit of valuable practice time to install what he did at UF, no?

The Patriots are a championship caliber team and they can afford to have a luxury player...one that can be a change of pace or surprise element. If anyone can get something out of him its BB.

Its a good team for Tebow. Its too early for him to start his career as a missionary.

BB is very familiar with him from his friendship with Urban Meyer days.

Well, yes, of course Belecheat will get more out of him and will know how to use him better. I mean, you can't do worse than what Sparano did with him. That was embarrassing for Old Tony. Every friggin' time he came in, he would just run him straight up the middle. Every time. It was kind of sad.

I think there is too much overreaction to this. It helps having a 3rd string qb right? Maybe they see him as a better option over Mallet. Regardless, he is not a good qb and will sit on the bench the whole season

That would involve taking Brady off the field. I just don't see why you would ever want to do that.

This reeks to me of McDaniels wanting to prove he was right in drafting him in the 1st round. I honestly don't think it will work out. I just can't see them taking Brady off the field for Tebow and he has a lot of work to do to play any other position. I'm sure there will be people that assume this will work out because it's the Patriots, but in reality, the Patriots haven't had a ton of success with these types of moves in recent history. Everyone thought Ochocinco and Ablert Haynesworth would resurrect their careers there and neither did anything. People thought Brandon Lloyd would come in and become a stud WR last year, and that didn't happen. I can't remember the last player they brought in as a reclamation project that failed elsewhere based on talent, not off the field stuff, that worked out for them.

Happy for Tebow... why did it have to be New England though? Eh... if he plays qb instead of Brady, obviously that's a plus for us

What concepts are those? I ask b/c I don't see much of the zone read type stuff that Meyer ran at UF in New england.

LMAO Heath Evans is on NFLN giving BB a hands free BJ over Tebow. No clue as to how they will incoprporate him into the offense but Belichek is a "genius" and Tebow is a "winner". The Jets didn't want to play him last year not b/c he sucked but b/c they were afraid he would come in an win gmes for them. Seriously he said that. He got visibly upset and called for an end to segment when Darren Sharper kept bringing up that Tebow simply can't play QB. Sharper actually called him out on being a Patriots lover. Funny stuff.

Brady get's the starter reps, Mallett gets his fair share b/c he's the backup and needs at least some reps. Gotta have some scout team reps and I can't see Tebow getting those b/c he can't simulate an NFL passing attack. When exactly does he come in to do his zone read stuff, after practice?

There's no way in hell they take a healthy Brady off the field anywhere outside the opponents 10 yd line or on a 3rd/4th and short is there? I seriously don't see the logistics of it. Maybe it's as simple as giving him a shot b/c they like him, BB is friends with Meyer, let him come to camp, play in preseason and hope another team sees enough to sign him. Other than that it's a head scratcher.
