Eh, not buying that one, now if we were looking for Te help then I'd buy in, guys like Owen Daniels or Olsen or Bennett from Dallas would not surprise.
But Wr?

I doubt it's a reflection of Bess. maybe they want someone to compete with Hartline?
or maybe they have no confidence with our #4 and 5 WRs. -

If true, is this more of an indictment on Bess, Hartline, Marshall or Henne? Because quite frankly, I feel that Henne has the weapons available to him.
This also goes against the report that Sparano and Co., want to re-dedicate the team to running the football. If you are planning on running a bunch more often, why do you spend money, draft picks and/or players on another receiver?Frumundah Finnatic, DolfanJake, Pandarilla and 2 others like this. -
Yep, this has to be BS. We need another WR like we need another CB or CB....we DONT.
I agree that Marty B might be attractive to us, but I honestly dont think Jerra lets him go. He had HUGE expectations when they traded us Fasano, and he is finally starting to show up this year. The Pokes, while being at 1-3, are still in the hunt in that Division. -

And I still think Deon Anderson if healthy winds up in Miami if we don't land a Te. -
i wouldn't mind getting another WR as long as he's a stud at kick returns. lol

If we landed Evans Hartline could handle kicks. -

He’s been saying that Steve Smith of the Panthers could be traded. That might be the guy we’re after.Disnardo, Frumundah Finnatic, BlameItOnTheHenne and 3 others like this. -
I agree that Henne could use another target, but like most everyone here I believe that what he needs is a TE rather than a WR. I guess they could want a speed guy if they are not happy with Moore, but that is more of the bottom of the roster churning we always do. It could be intended for STs help more than WR help.
-
i would also think that TE is the most important. what would be interesting though is what type of WR are we supposedly interested in. I doubt its a slot or big play receiver like Bess and Marshall, so is it a possession receiver, a speed receiver, a tall red zone receiver?

Well, the VJax thing is a push Des, the pats did sniff around SD for pricing information, but Kraft put the stop to the talks due to character concerns.
I'd still like to pick the Bills pocket for Evans, imho he could be had for cheap. -

If the Panthers have Smith on the Block, and the Bills have Evans, I'd think long and hard about either one, Smith would be a #1 pick Evans I'd think would be a 4th or 5th.. -

Why is it so far fetched to think we would go after another WR?
Marshall hasn't really been all that great ( yep I said it) and we need a guy who can stretch the field to open some of this up. -
would be running around the block naked for joy, if we get carolina´s version of steve smith

If we were to trade for Lee Evans... we would HAVE to rework his deal. Currently, Evans is one of the highest paid (and most overpaid) WRs in the league, making almost Marshall money at 9mil a year.

his adjusted stats to the season
96 catches, 1360 yards, 14.1 avg., only 4 TD`s but i´m sure this will go up -
You may have "said it"... but that doesnt make you any less foolish for saying so.
He is currently on pace for 108rec for 1,360 yards... which would both be career highs for him.
So ya... you might wanna stop talking.

And he is also on pace for 4 TD's. I could care less if he gets 1400 yards I want him getting into the end zone. He has dropped passes too. He has been underwhelming.
BTW it's an open forum I can give my opinions if I please. Thanks
Which is why he would be available cheaply in trade, the Bills simply could start a UDFA like Steve Johnson and have the same production as Evans is offering them.
As with all skill position players who are nearing 30, you have to look for knee problems in the recent past, and Evans has been remarkably durable, and for Steve Smith fans, keep in mind he is 31 and injured constantly.
history has shown that he is a scorer, they will go up
no he isnt. he broke his forearm in a odd situation, and just got rolled up on oddly this year. he has played 14 or more games every season since 2001 except once. and has 40 touchdowns the last 5 years. thats insane. (especially who has been throwing him the football)

History don't mean squat.
Dan Henning and the offense have shown they can't get Marshall in the end zone currently.
We need a deep threat. We should have kept Ginn.
true
no she has that disease.....its real bad....its called "marriage"
she doesnt have twitter
Well, how much of that is Henne? To me the offense is not on track in any sense of the term, they rarely have long drives, they rarely throw the ball into the endzone, and they rarely run plays that allow Beast to run free.
Typically what happens is Beast will catch a 5 yd pass and there are 2 or three defenders right there to deny him YAC yards.
