That Sparano was given the option of being fired of waiting out the process. I don't know if this is true, but I believe it.
If anything, this makes us look at lot better in that Sparano was the one that decided to wait it out.

Ross is a tool and that "Ireland was on Sparano's side" stuff seems a bit of B$

Yeah it doesn't really help any. I don't understand that though, if he was given the option, then that means that Ross wanted him to go? or not? This fiasco is about the worst day of my fandom of the Miami Dolphins. I just want the draft to start so we can focus on something positive.
Yeah but everyone was calling us classless for hanging Tony out to dry, when that wasn't the case.

We're like the Chernobyl of NFL football...... with future impairments to come.

Why? Why is it a cluster?
They went after Harbaugh, and he said no. Why do we look stupid and San Fran doesn't? Hell, they had the edge and they still blew it, then got turned down by Josh Efffing McDaniels.
Sigh. You guys really let the fact that the media didn't have their **** together cloud your view of this.

Mike F is best buddies with Parcells, so it could b true.
I blame Peterson who is said to be Ross's adviser, Peterson has been around the block, he know's better than this.
After 1-15 we had Parcells coming in, and we had hope. The future looked bright. What hope do we have now.....zero, because we can't fire the owner.

so what if they fired him, and didnt get harbaugh, gruden or cowher?!?!? we'd be coachless, sparano would be paid, and we'd be ****ed. thankgod sparano waited it out.

Unless Parcells is trying to save some face for us, and himself. This still looks bad on him. He can't run away like he wanted too. Other owners, who he wants to sucker next, will still look at the fiasco in Miami.
All of your posts the past couple of days qualify by definition as rants and belong somewhere else on this site.

Looking better? Depends on what better means. Moved from smucks to only slightly insenitive bottom feeders. Relative terms there.
Zero he says!
Despite everything that went wrong for us this year, we were 7-9.
Get us a new OC, a few more good men on the field and we're closer to 10-6. Really, our season wasn't as tragic as its made around here. The no-call against the steelers, Nolan Carrolls drop seen round the world against CLE, etc.
We have plenty of hope that things will be better next season (EASIER SCHEDULE) than they were this year.

Owner is going to do what an owner is going to do this sounds very much like Ross got his custom silk boxers in a wad and went berserk which is also a really bad sign for the Dolphins moving forwards, people around the NFL talk, they already played hardball with several free agents.

Yeah but chasing after a coach with another one in your building isn't right. If you don't want the one in your building, give him the pink slip. The present situation is like "oh hey, we couldn't get the one we wanted so we'll just be stuck with you. You ok with that?".
Frankly, I was hoping Sparano would resign. I was waiting for it. I don't have an issue with us keeping Sparano, I like stability. However, I don't think you should do that to him.

So what you are telling me is EVERYONE at dolphins HQ is too balless and gutless to make a hard decision. Great.
Waffles anyone??

Because they FIRED their coach. They didn't make anyone dangle in the wind.
Gullible ?
It's no different than a married guy dating girls to see if he prefers one to his wife.
So... yeah.
Did I just make an argument for or against what you said...???
Well, as of right now Sparano is our coach. All along I've understood that this is a business and as such business decisions will be made. I understand Ross wanting to "shop around" after this unsatisfying season.
However, I've said all along that I think Sparano is a good coach and should be given the chance to finish out his contract and if he shows us something, get an extension.
I'm rational. I'm logical. Thus, I'm pretty ****ing happy right now. :)

if true, they were upfront with Fistpumper. whats the prob with that?
The only people looking foolish is the press. They have 100 different versions (all speculation) as to what is really happening. I reserve judgment until I hear it from Sparano and or Ross what is / went down.

as a rational. logical person what are your thoughts on the team quitting on Tony Sparano?

I thought it was an argument for having a GF on the side?
Actually, I think we could have signed Harbaugh and announced it. Apparently we interviewed a Rooney rule candidate yesterday. And had harbaugh sold in the room.
My sense is we could not finalize because we had not yet fired Sparano.
And before we got to that, Stanford got to harbaugh and changed his mind.
No Sparano and we'd have had harbaugh sign the papers yesterday, imo.

Good Friend?
Yeah, how'd that work out for them?
You honestly don't know if Sparano was dangling in the wind or not. There are a ton of conflicting reports. Get it together.

Unless he wanted to make Ireland look bad, Sparano & Ireland hate each other, and then swoop in and try to be the franchises savior ? I am sure he is chomping at the bit to repair himself for the foasco he left behind in KC. What they are doing right now is making him look horrible. His ego needs to be satisfied.
Good point.
The point of sharing this was that everyone was *****ing that we let him twist in the wind and went behind his back etc. When in fact we were very honest with him and he was ok with the way it went down. I think this news, if true, should take a lot of sting off of all the "Ross/Dolphins are classless" remarks.
exactly. your boss tells you hes looking to replace you, but you can stay in case he doesnt find a suitable replacement. and you stay?
