I just love his picture on Wiki... And, that is him beating IBM in the back of the endzone. HOpefully something we see much of this year lol
Alright man, you've been dick riding Trufant pretty hard, and I've been with you up to this point. But over Milliner? Now you're just making **** up.
what's his contract? If he's just depth, I'm fine with it. If he has a significant contract, then it's the first strike against Ireland this offseason.
Oh, please... I really liked our FA so far. I think we acquired some young, talented players, who can shape our future into something special. As far as the position of receivers go, I feel we have had two major upgrades in Wallace and Keller. Two guys I'd hope Miami would sign. That being said, it's perfectly OK to judge the Gibson signing, by itself, separate from the rest of F.A.
It will be the drafting of Tavon Austin that will move Bess down to the 5th WR and probably mean a trade.
I think we are setting up to go truly BPA even at DT. If Star Lotulelei's heart checks out and he's available he might be the ultimate value pick. I don't think we're out if play for Austin either. If Bess is gone, we'll still need a punt returner. Besides, there are few people in the league (and nobody on the Dolphins) that can do what Austin can do.
Darth Ireland shows his true colors with this signing. He aint giving up his little candy store playground (draft scouting) for no one. He gave Philbin the purse in FA. But come draft, get ready for ol time Ireland goons.
I think theres another thing alot of people arent considering. We will be running a very fast hurry up. Which means...we will need to rotate in receivers to keep them fresh. He seems to be a very solid WR...nothing spectacular...but it allows them to keep guys like HArtline fresh...and hes a good target on 3rd down. I do not in any way...think this prohibits us from taking Tavon Austin. Especially sinceI think it was Volin who said..."Wild" about our upcoming draft..and we have been kicking the Gibson tires for awhile. Hes a piece of the workings.....
Shhhhh...don't let facts like that ruin a perfectly good opportunity to blame Ireland for not getting the best WR available in FA.....oh wait.
I hate this comparison. Hartline isn't fast and for a guy with his size he isn't physical. Bess isn't fast at all. this comparison makes a lot more sense than the last two.
Now, you just know we don't need another target who can move the chains or get open in the end zone! Some people just want to urinate in the cereal bowl and will stand on the chair at any opportunity!
I would be surprised at DT. I am not sure Warmack would fall to us but if he did, I think he'd be BPA. You never know about the OG position (often undervalued in the draft). I think Cooper is as safe as Lotulelei. And, I think they also want to eventually move Odrick inside and get a pass rusher at DE.
I hope it does stop us from drafting Austin. We have too many needs to put every ounce of focus into playmakers. Tight end, even with Keller, is a hole. Offensive tackle is in flux (depending on Long). Pass rushers are required. Both our defensive tackle are playing on one year deals essentially. We have no corners. Our starting free safety is terrible (IMO). I'd argue, with Gibson signing, that receiver might be one of the deepest areas on this football team right now.
Clemons is hardly terrible. He is just average is all. He doesn't make many mistakes, but doesn't make many plays either.
I think you have to look to next year. Our signings this year really balloon on the cap next year and we have two DT contracts that will be coming due. With our new commitments, I doubt we'll be able to sign either or both. That would make DT a critical need. Why not look after it this year?
Plenty of TE in the second round, Corner could be Grimes and another guy, plus there will even be more people let go after the draft, plus there is the second round, free safety i disagree. I see defensive tackle, defensive end or Austin. I see no reason why today's move stops form drafting Austin.
all i really know is i'm gonna be calling other drivers who get in my way on the road vagina footed ***holes for the rest of my days,, thanks ck.
I know, I just don't like the guy as a player. Everyone has their whipping boys, he is one of mine, along with Odrick.
http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=xFtmkEoPRuM&desktop_uri=/watch?v=xFtmkEoPRuM Small highlight video... I don't know why everyone is complaining not like we signed him to start we got mike Wallace for that its a depth signing. He's not the best wideout but he is talent and just hitting the prime of his career. Now you have bess and this guy battling 3 and 4 cornerbacks and safety's. think about Wallace stretching the field deep with Gibson and bess workin underneath and hartline and Keller destroying he middle layer of the field then add the explosiveness that miller could do receiving with the wide open field ( although wish we had bush he would of really killed it.
I sincerely am so puzzled by this signing I'm not really sure what to say. And yeah, I'm sad to say my first thought was "the worst thing is that this completely closes any possibility of us drafting Patterson "
Depends on how much he cost. Depends on if the team plans on replacing Bess with him. Depends on this decision means no potential quality WR drafted.
Sex is my hobby. I will admit though, the girls are better in Miami then up here... Being a Dolphins fan and posting here is just icing on the cake. Warmack has a great chance of falling to us for a few reasons: 1) Guards are often not picked that high, 2) TEN was the danger at #10, but they signed Levitre and I have heard they are high on Cooper, because of his ability to move outside (Warmack is not a slouch by any means, but Cooper is more athletic), and 3) the teams ahead of us and their respective needs. Star Lotulelei has a good chance of falling to us thanks to the heart condition (even if it checks out, teams may be reluctant to use a top 10 pick), Warmack has a chance to drop to us(reasons mentioned above), and at least one OT (Joeckel, Fisher, Johnson) has a chance to fall to us. After Geno Smith's pro day, which went very well from what I heard, has a great shot of going in the top ten now.
I'm trying to figure this move out, and to this point, I'm not sure if I see sound reasoning for signing him. Yes, he does the little things that Mike Wallace does do as far as the short and intermediate stuff, but I just don't see any similarities between this guy and what Joe had in Green Bay. Let's look at a target breakdown though. In 2010, which was Green Bay's Superbowl Season, here's how their wide receiver targets broke down: Greg Jennings 124 targets James Jones 87 targets Donald Driver 86 targets Jordy Nelson 64 targets It should be noted that Jermichael Finley played in only 4 games this season and had 26 targets in those 4 games.
