Okay, I will start it.
Good start by Mets, scrappy team.
This Nieuwenhuis kid seems like a player, really like what I see from him.
I think they will be better than people think. playoffs? Not so sure, but interesting.

He reminds me of Benitiz

New heros every day..last night Jordanny Valdespin gets his first career hit...a PH 3 run homer for the 24 year old rookie middle infielder. As long as Tejada is sdelined, can we start him over Ronny Cedeno? Please?
Thole is probably going on the 7 day DL for a concussion. I really wanted them to leave Parnell in for the next batter after Wigginton flattened Thole. But it was too big a spot to worry about plunking a batter I guess.
Good to see Wright Dickey and Santana tearin it up. But does anyone know or care where Jason Bay is right now? The DL seems to be his most prodctive spot because Captain Kirk and Scott Hairston are going fine filling in. -
David Wright is on fire, he has taken the leadership title and ran with it!
-
David Wright is a beast. He's a guy I just want to walk every time he steps to the plate with a runner on.

Fransesco is Armando Benitz 2

Beat the Mets, beat the Mets, step right up and beat the Mets!
Kidding. Great series could have gone either way.Frumundah Finnatic likes this. -
Would have swept them again if not for him.
Let Parnell or Rauch close. -
Thats not really fair to say. I could counter with we still would have won this one without Heath Bell. If you're going to add and subtract players....theres no guarantee of different results with a different pitcher in anyway.Anonymous likes this.

Yes, but we had the lead going into the bottom of the 9th in both games and Francisco blew it both times.
-
My point is you wouldn't have had the lead in this one without Bell as well. So who knows if you'd have won if we're doing the add/subtract thing. Sadly baseball doesn't work that way. I mean if Bell didn't suck I could say we'd be ahead of you guys in the division, but you could counter with the same about Francisco.

Spare me, fellas. I'm just pissed we let a few get away.
It was entertaining though. See ya in August, and may you begin a nice long losing streak now :shifty:Anonymous likes this. -
Yeah, it was strange to see myself. Basically 3 months before we see them again.Anonymous likes this.

Got to love MLB scheduling, and it will only get worse next year with the 15 team leagues/1 interleague game a day.finyank13 likes this.

I didn't even know that. That's crazy. Hopefully we'll be playing for first place. Both of us.

The Marlins played the Astros 6 times before playing the Braves once.
-
Our bullpen is the worst.
-
Anyone have connections to Mets tickets?
I am seeking 7 tickets for Sat 23rd vs Yanks. All sites are ranging from $75 minimum to $100plus for normal "Bob Uecker" seats (not front row - haha). Hoping for slightly less say $50/per. for that type, if anyone has a connection. Willing to that more if better seats though. -
-
Our bullpen and defense still suck. If we're going to compete until the end, that needs to change. And we need to get more production out of the middle of the order.
-
Woot.....been tracking that site, and finally found an ebay link that posted 6 tickets for below face/ea. Woot....locked and loaded for this Sat @ Citifield.

Harvey gets the start Thursday, we get to look at the future.
-
Wow, Harvey was good last night. Big test against San Fran next in an outdoor environment.

Our pitching sucks since the ASB. Young getting bombed again tonight. Pre ASB we were rolling a sub 3.8 era. Now its over 6 post ASB. And dont even get me started on the pen...I think I pitched better as a little leaguer. Worst pen in baseball history.

How bad is Jason Bay? You know youre bad when youre hitting 165 with a 240 OBP. You know you suck when youre down 6-3 in the 8th inning and Im sitting here wanting him to squeeze just to get 1 run home and move another runner over.
Of course he strikes out looking.
