MH: Brown Salutes Miami Northwestern High Bulls
5 replies
If it looked like Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown was having as much fun as a high school kid scoring his first touchdown Monday, then you might be on to something.
Brown's end-zone celebrations -- bouncing up and down in place for several seconds -- were inspired by Miami Northwestern High.
Brown and several teammates (including Northwestern alum Vernon Carey) attended the Bulls' 22-14 victory over Miami Central last Thursday night.
``That's my Northwestern salute,'' Brown said. ``We were sitting there, and none of us had been to a game other than Vernon. All of a sudden, Northwestern scored a touchdown and everyone in the stands started jumping up and down, yelling `Woo! Woo!'
``So I was like, `That's kind of cool!' ''

DURRR! (to myself)
It is early, and I should be sleeping.
I did not see that. I'll watch the game again. In Jones' defense, maybe the guy just had to pee?
