Seems a bit high to me. Especially with it being a division rivalry game...and JT is on fire and he loves him some Tommy Brady!!! Posted via Mobile Device
I'm surprised its not higher! We could not stop Sanchez this past week, and he ain't no Brady. How have we done against Manning, Brees etc... They have tore us apart and the second half. We need to dig deep in this game, I think we can win but the Pat's QB and WR's scare the heck out of me.
Eh...I don't like automatically spotting the home team a FG advantage when it's a division rival they face. You can almost never predict those games.
Well, I think we play better as the underdog, we were not favored in any of our wins, even the MNF game I think we were either +2 or -2? 10.5...Two TD's? Rookie Cb's, Belichek is 8-0 coming off of a bye, actually that is not that large a point spread.
Yeah we will definitely see something early on out of the Wildcat we haven't seen so far this season. Bill B is even expecting it as he said on his weekly interview on WEEI. And Paul P needs to keep up the blitzes and exotic looks after the first half because we are getting torn apart with the vanilla defensive looks.
We always seem to have at least one huge blow out every year.I think this might be it for us before we go on a roll.I am thinking 38-10 pats.I hope I am dead wrong on this one but I just do not like this match up for us.
50/50 toss up. I don't like New England's defense against the Miami running game, but they have an offense that should eat up Miami's D. We'll see; I wouldn't recommend betting this game.
I don't care what they think or say. It's just a number they use to make more money for themselves. Let's play the damn game and take their lunch money away after we beat them to the turf.
Pats defense isn't good enough to hold us to 10 points. And I really think our pass rush will give the Pats offense fits.
Hmmm... The Pats achilles will be OUR passing game.... After we are able to run the ball on them...that...matched with their lack of getting any kind of pressure on the QB...means some big pass plays....
Yep. With our defensive backfield and linebackers, I think we are going to wind up giving up a loooot of points this game.
i do believe the PATS will score 35+ points against us, given our defensive play - especially in the 2d half. i hope Davis learned a lesson yesterday WRT keeping the play in front of you instead of trying for the big play. he 'looked' like he got it on that final drive. not sure what to say about Smith, he does well on outside routes, but can't seem to do anyting over the middle right now. no matter what, as hard as he is trying, we need to come up with another option than Bell on the TEs ... doubt we have one though ... don't have JT fall back in coverage ... he was terrible, and his little chucks did nothing ... hopefully, Roth can stay on the field longer in this game .... he looked ok yesterday.
It's hard to imagine NE not scoring a lot of points in this one. Unless we can magically sustain an excellent pass rush for four whole quarters. JT will basically have to have the game of his life, probably a long shot at age 35. I mean he is definitely a good candidate to make some plays but it will be tough for him to stay in Brady's face the entire game. We will need an outstanding offensive performance to have a chance in this one.
This is a Pats team who barely beat the Bills and lost to the Jets. They've also blown out two of the worst teams in the league (Bucs, Titans). They have two things going for them, A) The game is at home and B) They're coming off a bye week. I think 10.5 points is too high. The Pats have only scored 30+ twice this season, again against two of the worst teams.
Depends, will the Jets MNF Oline show up, or will the 2nd half of the Saints and 2nd Jets game Oline show up? We are supposed to be a ball control offense, the Oline has gotten owned the last game and a half.
Lol, ive heard that every week. But it would be ironic if we throw in something completely new vs the pats, only appropriate.
I think we will beat the Patriots not once but twice. I am not going to say it is impossible because of the way we have been playing. Yet something tells me that this is going to be a sweep.
Maybe it snows and Ricky Williams gets over 200 yards? No wait that could happen in Buffalo. Speaking of snow, when is the last time the Dolphins played when it was snowing? I mean actually snowing, not just snow on the sidelines from the day before. We're returning to the scene of a crime. Belichek shed tears of embarrassment on his own field like never before against us last season. Apparently the fans did too, since most were gone by the time the 4th quarter even started. Anything can happen there. Dick Jauron and the Bills almost beat them there this season.
Our secondary is amongst the worst in the league. The pats will score 30+. Imagine if we hadn't led the league in TOP the first 6 games on Offense. We potentially would have given up 40 PPG.
Our secondary isn't one of the worst. Did you know we only give up a 56.7% completion pct? 6th best in the league. We've played both Manning and Brees this season but have only given up 9 passing TD's. We're in the top 10 in 3rd down stops. I still say 10.5 is way too high and the Pats won't score 30.
The young guys are getting better, but yes, our secondary is one of the worst in the league right now. And our LBs are horrible in coverage.
i shake in my boxers.....imagining a close game and the patriots having the ball on the final drive and our defense needing to stop them to win the game......ive been let down far too many times before......and with tom brady?!?! jesus.....please let us be up by 9+ with 1 minute left
All of those stats are completely bloated because of our TOP in those games. Indy put up 27 in 15 minutes Chargers put up 23 in 27 minutes Jets put up 27 in 26 and then 25 in 34 and let's face it...we were a couple bad throws from being down 35-7 against the falcons. We give up far too many big plays in the secondary. You can show me that we're top 10 in 3rd down stats and completion percentage, but that means nothing to me. I watched all of these games and when you're getting gashed for 20 and 30 yard plays on 1st and 2nd down and giving up points so easily in the 2nd half, you're not very good. This is as bad of a secondary as I've seen in 15 years from the Dolphins. This is close to 2007 bad. The only difference is that now we don't have injuries and have a decent front 7 who can stuff the run pretty well.
