Well, ESPN released Buffalo and Miami's Madden ratings. Obviously it doesn't reflect free agency, but I feel like Sean Smith and Davone Bess have gotten the shaft from our squad. Especially Sean Smith.

Carpenter should be rated much higher than a 79. Also, AJ Edds got the shaft with those terrible coverage stats. I know he hasn't played a down in the NFL yet, but he was the best coverage LB in the draft last year and deserves better than that.

He has 94 speed/95 acceleration, it's his awareness, catching, route running, etc that brings his rating down.

Every year we have this thread. Madden ratings are meaningless. Whatever formula or process EA Tiburon uses to pull these ratings out of their *** is embarrassing.
Frankly, I'd be just fine if they converted to PFF's ratings. I'm not a huge PFF fan but at least those guys know what they're watching.

Exactly. If rickey and ronnie get cut its going to be impossible to run the ball after the roster update. Henne is awful. All you can do is lob it up to marshall

Well Bush will be okay based on speed alone. I just wanted to use Thomas to mix it up. 83 speed is just too slow. and yeah, Henne sucks Chad Pennington was much better in madden IMO.

The ratings for the Pats and Jets came out yesterday. I can't post the links here because apparently it's blocked for me at work, but we're at a serious disadvantage to both the Jets and Pats. Sanchez is an 83 OVR I believe. They really got the royal treatment from EA compared to us. Ouch.
I still can't believe how poorly rated the phins are. Bess as low as he is rated is criminal. -
Meh, an 83 for Sanchez I can live with. Anything higher than an 85 would be laughable, though.
