Miami Dolphins New logo/uniforms Thread

I'd like to see the logo on a grey helmet, or some other color besides white.

Faceless dolphin looks like a helium filled float for a parade. Just needs some wires and the look would be complete. The terrible color combination is just a bonus.

 

Helium filled floats for parades have faces.

 

So we're going from a cartoon to a blow up dolphin with a face that looks like it's not finished....

It was probably leaked on purpose to gauge fan reaction. Based on fan reaction, I can't see them going with that logo...thankfully.

 

I've seen it a few times now and it is starting to grow on me.

I agree on the navy placement, I don't like it either. We do need a third colour, I just hope they use it as it's meant to be, an accent, not a primary. I like the Sun in the background, it looks sharpened up. I don't like the aqua, it looks too blue. It's leaning towards teal which I loathe. Teal is a hideous colour.

In the end the logo is scenery. I'm FAR more concerned about what they do with the uniforms.

Look at other sports:

NHL: Red Wings, Blackhawks, Bruins, Canadiens, Rangers, Maple Leafs.

MLB: Yankees

NFL: Steelers, Raiders, Cowboys

They all use timeless, clean design. I want clean and simple. We have those ready made, the one's the franchise wore during THEIR MOST SUCCESSFUL PERIOD! I don't want something that will look dated in a week, or looks like an Arena League team or that gets changed every other year to "stay with the times".

 

They have to have something submitted to the NFL quickly or they won't be able to change. I can see that being the "mock up" with a final design on lock down. This could be damn close to what we will go with and I can live with it.

 

The aqua will probably be different but i am 100% with you with not needing another color. Our colors are Aqua/Orange. No need for navy, and hope it doesnt appear in our jerseys.

 

I hope this is just me seeing things, but anyone see an eye on the dolphin?

 

I think we need an accent. The navy works, as long as it is not overused.

 

The best guess is probably around draft time.

 

If everyone tweets Mike Dee if this leaked logo is real or not, he may make a statement if the logo is fake or real

 

Like I said...the Boston Breakers.

So it could be that the mock-ups could have been this logo and then were thrown out. Its not 100% official this is the logo. It could be a rejected logo, everyone knows that there will be different mockups.

Did anyone tweet to MD the fan mock up? we seriously need to campaign for that logo. That's actually classic, present, and modern rolled into one. I want that!

 

you get rid of the navy in the sun then yeah great logo, terrible jerseys.

 

The logo and uniform changes had to be submitted to the league office in mid november. It was then approved by the league.

makes me think that the logo out there is infact real. You would think that if it was fake he would nip those rumors in the bud
