Some college programs can lay claim to the titles of "Quarterback U" or "Linebacker U," but Michigan State can call itself "Wide Receiver U."

With players like Andre Rison, Courtney Hawkins, Devon Thomas, Derrick Mason, Muhsin Muhammad, Plaxico Burress and others, the Spartans have produced several productive, even All-Pro caliber, NFL receivers.

Michigan State's BJ Cunningham could add to that respectable list.

He left East Lansing as one of Michigan State's career greats, ranking first in receptions (218) and receiving yards (3,086). Cunningham, who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2012 NFL Draft by the Miami Dolphins, finished his illustrious four-year career with 25 touchdown catches (second-most in program history) and 10 games with 100-plus yards (third-most).

Certainly some good stats for playing at a major college like Michigan State. Definitely better than if he had come out with mediocre stats. I hope he does surprise everyone including me.
