Miami Dolphins talking points: Beware the QB draw

1. The Dolphins must beware the quarterback draw.

Houston QB Matt Schaub doesn’t run a lot, which must be the reason Channing Crowder ignored him and lined up on a wide receiver on that final memorable play. Schaub, who had four carries for 15 yards that day, took one step back, saw a gaping hole up the middle and ran through it for the decisive score in the Texans’ 29-28 victory.

When somebody asked coach Tony Sparano Wednesday if his team was preparing for the quarterback draw, he tried to smile, but it came out more like a wince.

It’s hard to imagine the same play presenting itself this week, but if it does Crowder has to be at the ready.

This has been thing I have been hearing about all week is "what if they try the QB draw again?" This and many more is the discussion on how the Dolphins need to win against the Texans.

I don't know how or why or defense doesn't account for QB draws. We got lucky vs Jax that Starks made a play because it appeared to me that the middle was open on that play. Starks just made a huge play.

The dolphins dont need to worry about a qb draw from the unathletic sloppy bodied Matt shaub, they just need to come out with fire and play the game...something they didnt do last year in houston...admittedly so.
