McD has been groomed for this job for over a year, at times in Jax he was a good player as a DT in the 4-3, with all of his time in the 3-4 now, he should be a fine fillin.

Though there are some mumblings about his backups, Lionel Dotson and rob Rose, McD is so huge they really are not much of a concern, since he has been in Miami, his nemesis in J-Ville, injuries have not been a problem.

Besides, he and Q are Deej's guys, gotta roll with the hot hand.

Run stuffing Dlineman have a place in Nolan's D. Being willing to dial up LB pressure can help mask McDaniel's deficiency in the pass rush. Also sets that bring in Starks as a DE/DT will help. I'd also like to see a Starks/Solia/Langford front on some passing downs. Just to mask the weaknesses until we get everyone back.
