They also need to unleash the Wildcat again, and not just sprinkle it in occasionally with rookie quarterback Pat White, who seemed jittery in his debut when he missed a wide-open Ted Ginn Jr. on a pass that could have changed the complexion of the game in the first half. Where was versatile running back Patrick Cobbs, last year's secret weapon? Other than a late kick return he was rarely utilized in the offense.

I think we need to improve in all areas of offense. Wildcat yes, but we need to make sure that the base offense is hitting on all cylinders. That way the Wildcat will run more smoothly. It will be that more dangerous when it is used.

I think we need to establish the run so 7 straight dives off tackle and up the middle would be fine with me, forget about the WildPat, let's see the R&R express.

Our offense didnt look anything remotely like it did last year and last years offense was just slightly above average. We have the capability to be even better, its a matter of executing and staying focussed 100% of the time.

I would much rather use the Wildcat because we want to, not because we have to in order to gain yards. The Dolphins have all of the tools they just need to learn how to use them.

    i like this line:

BP does a lot of things behind the scenes. i bet that meant a lot to ricky. And ricky will play his butt off for it.

Bill Parcells loves Ricky Williams, for some reason.

Maybe BP understands the psychology of what Ricky went through?

It's because he likes all out effort.....say what you want about RW but when he's on the field, be it in practice or game time, he never gives less than 100%.

If we are to win Monday our OL has to get it together and open holes for Ricky & Ronnie in the running game on normal offensive sets. We cannot rely on the WC to get us running yards. We must run the ball well to eat up time and keep Peyton Manning off the field for as long as possible.

And our 2 rookie corners have to grow up NFL-style big time.

I agree, I want us running the football as much as possible from the base...

I'm not suggesting we use the wildcat to try and add rushing yardage, I'm suggesting using it more for the big plays we can't get out of our passing game.

don't you guys and gals think we would be better off letting ronnie play a whole game as the primary running back, then letting ricky do it the nest game? and so on and so on.

I like using them both.......ideal for me would be 35 total carries

15-20 carries a piece for both

I don't think that idea makes sense. First, financially the money your paying Ricky and Ronnie is to much to have them sitting on the bench. They are two of your best players as well. To me the best way is to get Ronnie at least 20 touches a game with Ricky around 10 and Cobbs around 5. That way it keeps the RB's fresh but still gets enough touches into the hands of some of our best playmakers.

need to generate more excitement & aggressiveness tonight
starting with the offensive line to beat the Colts
we did not play with intensity or passion against the Falcons.
we have to physically outplay our opponents on the field to win.
too much parity in the NFL for half-hearted efforts to succeed @ any level.
we need to play hard & smart across the board
& it all begins with the offensive line.
as they go, so goes our season

look for a Dolphin win by 7
