Playoff's!
If the team needs any help let me know. I haven't posted much in the Team Forum. Been busy.
I've developed a build model for each position in the game.
A lot of what's in the noobie forum isn't really that helpful to building overall competitive players.
It appears to me that each position has attributes that are very important, averagely important, and ignorable.
I've correctly identified those relative rankings for each position. Though there is leeway, if one over develops in any attribute you get bad events caused by the underdeveloped ones.
It's a pretty well thought out game. -
For the amount of Skill Points invested in Speed in a DT you won't see increases in your bars or for that matter in the speed of the DT as opposed to investing Skill points in Speed in a WR or HB.
They've designed it so that it mirrors real life. DTs top speed are lower that WRs so the scale from 1 to 100 that you're climbing has a different top end for DTs than WRs. The game won't allow a freak of nature DT based on Speed. (Agility and Strength are a different matter for DTs).
Basically one gets more bang for their buck by pumping the Key attributes for their position, occasionally supporting their normal attributes and refraining from investing in the ignorables. -

an example, a WR beefs up his strength up so much that he cannot ever build up enough speed to make him able o move that big body fast enough to make plays on teh field.
Or if a QB builds his throwing and strength up too much before his confidence and vision, that he'll never be able to catch up, thus throwing too many INTs -
Everyones getting the same amount of skill points.
Misplaced Skill points hurt competitiveness.
In your example the WR cant build up enough Speed because he's investing a limited resource, his SP in strength.
If the QB disproportionately builds throwing and strength, without confidence he's susceptible to Morale loss and without vision, interceptions and missing open guys. -
yeah, game link would be good :)

Each position is different.
You want to invest heavily in the positions Key Attributes.
Lightly in the positions normal Attributes.
And not at all in the Ignorable Attributes.
Discovering what those attributes are for the various positions are actually part of the game.
There is much incorrect information on the site.Zeke0123 likes this. -
I found it..although a tad bit late.

Congratulations boys! -
I'll help the team privately. I don't want my work published. It has competitive value. The proportions change as the levels increase. My model basically evaluates the current Balance of a player and indicates where he has over-invested or under-invested given the total Skill Points that have been committed. This then helps to invest SP as one levels up to optimize the player.
In a few days I'll change the output to make it easier to help anyone who's interested on the team. -
And Congrats to the team. Close one.

ORLANDO IS ELIMINATED IN ROUND1... wow.
Round 2, we go face to face with mega Detroit. -
We won!!!
-
There were 2 upsets in teh Western Conference as well. The top teams in the league now are:
Detroit Football Gurus 15-1-0
Tulsa Buffalos 13-1-2
Detroit Millens 12-4-0 (stupid *** mascot name)
Miami Perfection 11-5-0
Gridiron Rage 11-5-0
Detroit is the only powerhouse left in the league. You guys can take em! -
Look to me like we'll be playing Detroit.... Our run defense has been outstanding as of late so they don't scare me.
-
I say we don't change too much. Look what happened to Orlando when they abandoned their core gameplan... They started to lose.
