Mike McCoy?

Just wondering if he would/could be an option for OC?

I actually like hearing Christensen's PC's, but I don't know much about him. I do remember hearing McCoy and Gase having a history.

I mean, really?

While Christensen is technically the team's OC, it's Gase's show. Gase formulates the game plan and calls the plays; Clyde is there to assist in that. When Mike McCoy gets another job, which won't take long, he'll be paid to run his offense and call plays. I wouldn't be surprised to see him end up in Baltimore.

Yeah, we don't need a OC, this is Gase's show. We need a DC.

Yeah, really.

When Gase was hired, he specifically said he will only continue calling plays until he feels comfortable with the OC (whoever that might be). He didn't specifically point out Christensen, or anyone for that matter.

Their families have vacationed together, most recently traveling to Las Vegas. McCoy’s wife Kellie and Gase’s wife Jennifer are close friends; they were neighbors as their husbands logged long in-season hours. Prior to Sunday’s game, McCoy will have seen Gase most recently in July for Peyton Manning’s retirement banquet. It was held at Montage Beverly Hills hotel.

Gase expressed gratitude for how McCoy assisted him in Denver, placing extra responsibilities on his plate to prepare him for a future role as coordinator and now head coach. McCoy has been a sounding board, Gase said, for various aspects of an NFL head coach position.

The question is valid.

The league very much runs on a "who ya know, who ya trust" system.

I don't think it's unreasonable to consider the possibility.

So Gase doesn't catch any flak for the slow starts? The multiple three-and-outs? The inability to compliment the defense when they get off the field?

I get it, Colmax! And I am 1000% with you!

Gase cannot stretch the field. he does not threaten a defense with his speed. He is tight in his hips. His hands are suspect too.
