A guy who a lot of people respect in the media had some really nice words about Ross..He said that ''Ross is really trying to get our franchise on the right track'', he said it like, he knows there is some perception out there about Ross, but that it couldn't be farther from the truth..He sounded extremely sincere is saying that he's really doing a good job. It wasn't a lot, but I just wanted to post what I heard from a very respected media member. Hey how bout that Turner mother grabber...I love that guy..exactly what we need down there. Combine is in 3 weeks boys and girls..I love the combine..addicted to it. Wow...what a call our new coach has to make out of the gate..does he attach his job security to a 7th round draft pick with questionable arm strength with 2 starts under his belt, and recommend the signing of a big free agent contract?? man that is a doozy...If it was me, I wouldn't do it...Keep Matt Moore, and find my rookie with hi upside...but I will support the coaches decision.. I can't believe the big three coaches Gruden Cowher and Fisher are not gonna coach andrew Luck this year...man, they must not of wanted to coach this year at all...Don't think we can blame Ross for those three not being here. Mike sherman is a hell of a hire for the offensive coordinator position...That's a really nice grab for our team..That relationship with Turner on the oline should have everything you need, Philosophical synergy, and the tenacity to execute at a high level.. Draft Philosophy for me right now is to try and get two first round draft picks this year, I don't think its a deep draft, so I'd like to pick often as early as possible..maybe a goal of 2 in the first, and 4 in the first 100. Anyways, looks like Ross is doing a good job rebuilding an image problem..
Isn't Tirico the douche who's been accused several times of sexual harassment and got suspended from ESPN for it? Sorry but nothing any of those ESPN douches say excites me.
What I assume RR's thought pattern was: Someone said something good about Ross? **** that ****. Quick, bring up something from 1992 to slander and attempt to discredit him.
We seem to be making good strides right now so I will leave Ross alone for the time being. In my opinion he has a lot riding on this season and on Ireland and his choices. Things will hit the fan around here if the Dolphins finish with another losing season and or Ireland flubs the draft and that 1st round pick.
Who're you kidding? I'm pretty sure Hanna Storm can say absolutely anything in those boots and it would excite me 100% of the time. Even when she's saying nothing it excites me 100% of the time.
Sherman 's offense sucked while he was in the big 12 so I wouldnt get too overjoyed , but we will see , we will see. I am starting to warm up to Mr. Ross maybe he can get thisclub in the right direction
Mike McCarthy's offense (in the NFL) sucked too...then he started following Philbin's game plan and had Rodgers...
Flynn this year on passes 31+ yards...3-3, 134 yards, 2 TD...158.3 QB rating Tom Brady this year on passes 31+ yards...1-15, 46 yards, 0 TD...39.86 QB rating I think Flynn's arm will be just fine. Guys don't "accidently" throw 9 TD passes and 731 yards in 2 starts. More than that it is the way he carried himself. Clearly a leader on the field. Starting off the season with Moore at QB, now that would be a TOUGH starting out of the gate.
...and weren't there some of the same concerns about Rodgers after that other guy left for the Jests? Seems like history repeating itself, only this time the back up may be leaving instead of the #1 guy (who used to be the #2 guy).
First KB claims Moore is better than Cam Newton. Then someone else claims Moore is better than Eli Manning. And now you're trying to compare Flynn to Brady. We're talking about a guy with 9 TDs and 5 INTs over a 4 year career and you're mentioning him in the same breath as a guy who's got a chance to win his 4th Super Bowl in 3 days. Has the entire board gone insane? This **** is getting ridiculous.
I do believe that Ross wants to improve the product on the field and turn the Dolphins organization into a winner. The problem I have with Ross is his love affair with Ireland as the teams GM. I don't think Ireland is a good GM and until Ross finally comes to this same conclusion, it is going to be difficult for the Dolphins to become a playoff team. I think that Ross will soon realize his mistake in retaining Ireland and once he does, I think he will spend the money needed to bring in a GM who can actually select top quality players in the draft and in free agency.
I too love how some people think that Flynn is the answer at the QB position for the Dolphins. While he did play well in his TWO NFL starts, I have seen comments from well respected NFL sources which compare him to Kevin Kolb, and Matt Cassel. Flynn is fortunate that he has been a backup on a team with a very productive offense and there is a major question as to his ability to be a full time starter in the NFL. There was a reason he was only a 7th round selection in the NFL draft four years ago. The more I read about Flynn, the less I am convinced that he is a better QB at this time than Matt Moore. While I don't think that Moore is the answer in the long run at the QB position, I don't see Flynn as the answer either. I still hope the Dolphins make a blockbuster trade and somehow move up to select RG3 in the first round. Otherwise the only chance I see of the Dolphins upgrading the QB position for next year is if they are fortunate enough to sign a healthy Peyton Manning in free agency. If they don't sign Manning or make a trade to get RG3, they should just stick with Moore for next year and possibly draft a QB in the middle rounds of this years draft.
All the talking heads can chatterbox and debate about whichever direction they choose to go but they base it on a small amount of film. Philbens's seen enough of the guy that he should be able to know if he is an NFL starting caliber QB.
I certainly agree that the Dolphins will not go after Flynn unless Philbin believes that he is the answer for Dolphins at the QB position. Of course Philbin better be 100% sure of Flynn if he recommends him to Ross and Ireland, because if he is wrong about Flynn and they pay him all the millions he is expected to receive in free agency and he turns out to be a bust, it will cost Philbin his job in the future.
Once again, you're either having severe reading comprehension problems are distorting something someone is saying because you don't like it because it's very clear what he was saying. He's not saying Matt Flynn is as good as Tom Brady. He's not saying Matt Flynn has a better arm than Tom Brady. He's using Tom Brady as a universally acceptable baseline for performance(Tom Brady this year) to suggest that a certain aspect that Flynn has been criticized in is not that important.
Thank you. Couldn't have said it better in responding myself. Whereas some people get an F in reading comprehension you get an A+.
