Don't know much about him, however I think it says a lot that game is a SOLB. We must have faith in Wake and Anderson.

    He's listed at 6-2, 246-250, so Im guessin he's a WOLB.

What's not to like about Misi?? Everyone knew we needed to focus on adding defense heading into the draft. Well, we're drafing defense!!...

Is he a pass rushing OLB or more like a run stopper like Matt Roth?

I would think so based on his heritage. Those boys can get big. Still...

From the video they showed looks like he can do both. Apparently he was mostly used as a DE in college unless I misunderstood.

Our nodus operandi is to draft guys that have a little room on their frame and then max them to potential. I think Mayock has this one wrong.
I think he is a solid SOLB for us after we add 10 pounds in the offseason program.

He'll be a solid starter for us day 1, at SOLB I say. I like the pick a lot given the concerns about Kindle's durability.

He recorded 206 tackles (94 solo)
    10.5 sacks for minus-56 yards
26.0 stops for losses totaling 99 yards
His six forced fumbles tied for fourth on the school career-record list
recovered three fumbles, returning one 28 yards for a touchdown
    Deflected eight passes.

That is the thing. Everything they showed was him rushing off the end.

Reading up on him seems to be just what you're looking for. High character and hard worker. Complete package at OLB. Can rush the QB, play the run and cover. Great pick.

They say Misi has a very strong football IQ which is good to hear. Should adapt fast.

    Here is Misi scouting report
Misi is a gifted athlete for his size who showcases impressive initial burst and natural closing speed when asked to make plays in pursuit. He works well downfield and has the range to make plays on the ball in space. But his natural burst and speed don't translate as well when he plays with his hand on the ground. He possesses an average first step as a pass rusher, allows his pad level to get too high and struggles to change directions off the edge. Misi looks more natural standing up when he uses his hands much better to gain leverage and is more effective when asked to disengage. He isn't powerful at the point of attack as a run defender. He struggles to sit into his stance and anchor on contact. He can be overwhelmed and is consistently driven downfield. He uses his long arms well to eventually shed blocks, but that takes place too far downfield. He looks like a tough, hard-working 3-4 OLB who has some natural speed for his frame. But I don't see the type of change of direction skills or lateral quickness for him to develop into an impact pass rusher.

worilds was my pick but now........period, but with misi pick (pass rush specialist he seems to be) I begin to think that dansby could slide at OLB and dobbins or another draftee start inside !

More than a few suggested he could have been someone who creeped into the lower part of the first. I doubt he would hav lasted much longer. Good value for us and he absolutely fills a need

Like everything I'm reading on the guy. Haven't seen any negative other than he's not strong enough to play end against the run. Well, we aren't going to use him as an end.

    Reads like a playmaker.

I like the pick Misi played DE/OLB at Utah and could also play ILB in our defense. Ran a 4.65 in the 40. Great speed and great football IQ. Chess pieces for Nolan.
