I so wish I could disagree with you...
-
Why would the Pats or Jets want him? They both have a pretty deep stable of running backs.
-
Better qiestion...why would he want them for the same reason. If you're a team depth is great. If you're a player its nice to a certain extent byt becomes a negative at certain point when you share too many reps.
If I'm MJD I want a one year deal where I can showcase my talents in hope of one bigger 2-3 year deal on the horizon. He must realize he's getting to the age where ig he doesn't get money soon it will only dwindle further. -
He's at the age he's not getting a 3 year deal ever again most likely. He needs to find a place that believes he has a few years left and will sign him to a 2 or 3 year deal now. -
So we don't get him.
-
I'm all for signing MJD, especially if it insures CJ2K is out of the picture - really don't want to see him in miami.
-
If he signs that deal now it won't be for the money he could get by showcasing himself this year.
I'm pretty sure he could get a frontloaded 3 year deal that makes the third easily voidable but works money wise for both sides.
I do understand what you're saying though.
