Last night, I thought that the Mets had missed the playoffs and the DBacks got in. I'm glad they made it! Kick the crap out of the Brew Crew.

You got to Peralta a bit though.

Tigers took game 1 from the Astros riding 6 shutout innings from Skubal. They still used like 15 pitchers after him lol, but in short stints. Game 2 should be interesting - I am guessing they will have Reese Olson start the game but probably only for 2-3 innings. Then again, they may just go YOLO and do a full bullpen day. It got them this far.

Yeah good for Detroit. It’s been a very long time for that franchise. They have a nice young core with guys like Keith, Jobe, Skubal, Carpenter etc.

Congrats to the Mets moving on.

With the Brewers loss, they have now lost their last six post season series, dating back to 2018. The last time any NL Central team won a postseason series was 2019, when the Cardinals beat the Braves in the NLDS. The division is 0-9 in postseason series since then.

In positive news for my club, the Cubs have eight prospects in the MLB Pipeline top 100. Seven of them position players. And barring further injury, any the top six could be in Chicago at some point next season. In a perfect world, the Cubs 2026 opening day lineup could look something like this:

    CF Pete Crow Armstrong
    LF Owen Cassie
    RF Kevin Alcantera
    1B Michael Busch
    2B James Triantos
    SS Matt Shaw
    3B Cam Smith
    DH Moises Ballesteros

Did you know that the Dolphins lost to one or both of the teams that ended up playing in the Super Bowl ever year from 1990-1998? They then followed that by beating the eventual champion in 1999-2002.

Congrats on your Mets clawing back to make it all the way to the NLCS, Boik. And good luck vs whichever California team that face.

The Cubs have faced one of the Cal teams four of the six NLCS that they've ever played in.

If the Padres were to hold on and make the NLCS, it would be the third consecutive year where two wild card teams faced off. At least one WC has made it four years in a row, and 5/6.

Thanks that was some game. And by some game I mean the result worked out but the Mets were leaving a community on base some innings. They better clean that up quick.

Also shout out to Diaz for the mini heart attack he was giving met fans to start the 9th. Way to make it look easy lol :headwall:
