Miami shows up quite a bit on King's MMQB:

    In the Fine Fifteen:

Hell yeah!! Since nobody here is giving the team any credit, we may as well get some praise from the national media.

I know polls and the fine fifteen crap is meaningless, but it's nice to see someone give this team props after we were the laughingstock of the nation.

I'd much rather read this than be focused in the Suck for Luck debate. Bring on dem Cowgirls, if we can win on Thursday in front of all America, I will be one happy motherfo!!!

In the woulda's - coulda's - shoulda's file you can think about the last drive gag job vs. CLE, the debacle of missed 1st half scoring opportunities that was the NYJ, and the above mentioned bit spiters vs. Den and NYG and yes, our beloved 2011 Miami Dolphins are sitting at 7-3!

Yup, what about the Texans debacle.. 5-5 is realistically where we should be.. If Henne completes a stinking 10 yard pass against Cleveland we are sitting at 4-6, only 1 game back of Barfallo on the heels of the stinking Jets... That Browns game killed our season.

I truly believe we could have been 7-3 or at least 6-4 with a better HC! Yesterday's 2nd half was another example why Sparano should be fired, no matter how many games we'll win by the end of the season! We could have beaten the Bills even higher if we continued to play like in the 1st half but Sparano fell back to his beloved conservative offensive playcalling! :pity:

But...he's the worst tight end in football.

He can't run, block, or catch.

I know how u feel! I can't stand them anymore, Sparano & Ireland are like Laurel & Hardy, just not funny at all! But what they do to this great organization and it's fans is funny (in a sad way)! :pity:

I won't complain if Marshall only has 1 catch in a 27 point blowout win.

Lost from all this is how Buffalo double covered Marshall down the field. Imagine we had two of those guys to double cover. Bush against a LB with the safeties distracted? Not good... Clay against a LB? Not good.

I think that he has more dropped balls than any other #1 WR in the NFL! More dropped balls than TD receptions! A true #1 who makes that much money has to make those catches, i remeber a lot of ppl here were hating on Ginn bc he dropped some easy balls, but Marshall is dropping even more and he is suppose to do better!

He must be referring to the pass to the back of the endzone in which he wasn't in bounds anyways.

Keep the thread on topic. The thread has little to do with Marshall as an individual. If you cant keep it on topic the I have little recourse.

Ginn was miscast, tbh I would not mind him in Hartline's role atm, but he was not a #1 Wr type.

As for BM, 3 gm winning streak, 2 of those games he beasted in, this is how it goes in the NFL those other guys will take things away from you, what I liked is MM still tried to hit him on the backline of the EZ and MM also talked with him on the sidelines when the ball wasn't coming his way.

From 2008 through 2010 combined, Fasano was the overall best run blocking TE in the league.

You need speed in the Air Coryell attack and for that reason they thought well he'll develop as a big-play WR who can replace Chris Chambers and change things for our running game. Yes at 9 overall they drafted an incomplete WR-return man. If you draft a WR that high he better become a top five wide receiver not James McKnight.

Oh ok. Well, I cannot keep up with all the idiocy in every thread, but I'd have been mocking anyone who dissed Baby Bavaro too.

This year though his blocking has dropped off though he is still an overall top 13 TE. The interesting guy this year for us is Mastrud, who in just 136 snaps, grades on PFF as the 6th best run blocking TE in the league and 11th overall, on the strength of his blocking grade. I guess maybe Ireland knew what he was doing, keeping him over some of the other backup TEs we had.

It's nice to be recognized for something positive for a change. Some positivity is nice, but they need to win a lot more for it to be sustained. If the team goes 4-12, won't be very positive.

That's why they drafted Clyde Gates this year, but they don't use him at all, he was supposed to bring speed to this offense but he's not the only forgotten WR, Bess is really quiet ever since Henne got injured! I wish he and Gates would be more involved in our offense!

I doubt Jim Harbaugh thinks that... I am sure he knows the importance of special teams. It did help win him a game or two this year.

Yesssir, this is one area that boggles me, why denigrate Ginn as a STer when he wins games every yr on returns?

Back on point though, our St unit has played really well so far this yr, save for kickoff returns, where Gates...does not look like he has it tbh, some guys are just natural speed guys and do everything on the field, fast, Gates is not one of them.

I thought I remember hearing #88 Miami identified a few times in the BUF game...maybe I am wrong?

  35. MrClean

    MrClean Inglourious Basterd Club Member

He was flagged once in the Buffalo game on STs, and according to PFF it is his only ST penalty of the season. Trusnik has 3 and Mitchell has 2. He was also flagged once at TE.

From what I can recall of the '72 team, they weren't exciting either. Most of the wins were of the methodical grind it out variety.

The last game of the season. Big play from Fasano, Ginn too. Charlie Anderson blocked a punt.
Merling pick. That was a damn good ending. After the Favre prayer in the opener.
