If Bowe's $11 mil per year deal determines what Jennings demands I could see us only resigning Hartline and try to load up in the draft at WR. 2 of the first 3 picks even. Austin + Swope, or Austin + Bailey, or Austin + Woods would all make me quite pleased.
Mayock talked glowingly about Shamarko Thomas - said when he watches him play, he sees Bob Sanders. And, of course, as we all see from the combine, Mayock noted, his numbers are off the chart. Thinks he'll be a late 2 or, at worst, early 3.
Agree on this, except I wouldn't be thrilled when the coaching staff is starting Bess and Hartline as our 1 and 2 because the others a 'rookies' who 'need time to learn' before they can 'jump our starters on the depth chart'. If we sit there opening day looking at Hartline, Fasano and Bess lined up as the base offense's receiving targets for Tannehill I will find an organization I respect more and try to watch their games instead.
What is perhaps most disturbing about this scenario is that knowing the Dolphins FO - it is actually a realistic possibility. The fact that many (myself included) can actually see the Phins do this tells us something about the past history in Miami and Ireland. Hopefully this is not the scenario. But it still is bothersome that it's in the realm of possibility.
Our old pal Neal Driscoll evidently is GM'ing the Dolphins in #MockThree. What's he done so far? Took Bjoern Werner at #12 overall and then traded up from #42 to #25 to take a wide receiver, this time Keenan Allen. Driscoll being all Driscoll.

What's really hilarious about this is he singles out #MockOne as opposed to #MockTwo, and then he goes on completely patterning his #MockThree after my #MockTwo, taking Bjoern Werner at 12 and then trading up to the late 20's to take a wide receiver, and then following it up by talking up what a great talent Travis Kelce is. I mean, that takes skill.

It absolutely PAINS me that Driscoll has 1700 followers on Twitter. But then I realize that makes me such a Twitter b!tch. At least he's following like 1200 people. I'm hoping that just means half of his followers are follow-backs. I'm following like 85 people. Which is the surest sign that I have no idea how to operate Twitter properly to where I can read the timeline of people I want to read and not just everyone I'm following.

I'm on the kick of trading up 2a for Johnathan Hankins if he makes it out of the 1st round in order to save on having to re-sign Soliai next year. Plus he's an upgrade over Paul. IMO it'd be a smart move with both Soliai & Starks free agents next year.

Not worried about Driscoll or what he says. I like bagging on him. He's done enough in the past to deserve bagging on. I don't own Werner. If he's working with Eric on this #MockThree then taking Bjoern is not a surprise. But Eric's shown me he works hard and I find his opinions unique. Can't say the same for our old pal.
Looks like Eric gave me, the Chargers and the Eagles A- grades, and the Cowboys an A. I'll take that. Eric did a great job with the reviews.
I'd rather just let the draft come to me when it comes to DTs. Probably be able to get Bennie Logan in the 3rd or 4th. Lots of good DTs in this draft.
