How come all of a sudden Firefox will not allow me to play any of the you tube vids you guys post?
They'll play if I go in IE.
Any suggestions?

My son and his friend were here helping me. Now they've gone home. I'll get them to read what you guys wrote, hopefully tomorrow, and see what they can do.

If you could find out what the Javascript error is it would be helpful

I've been having the same problem for about a week.
Anxious to hear the resolution. -
I have to wait until some one is here to help me with all this. I literally have to be led step by step to do anything on this devil machine. -
LOL Deb, "Devil machine"
I thought I screwed up something as well. I need to borrow a 10 year old kid from someone. -
I had toolbars from every where and "of course" they did nothing.
Their better than I am on here, but I can't fix the problems they cause. I have to wait for some one to help me.
To hear the 10 year old talk---she knows it all.
Their the little cuties in my avi! -

this may be it.
try doing this:
go to (in the top part of the window) Tools, Options, Content, and have a lok and see if javascript is enabled or not. click the box if it is not. -
They are cuties Deb and glad to see that they are being raised properly (Dolphins fans) :)
anlgp, I tried that but I already had my java enabled. Thank you though....any other suggestions?anlgp likes this. -

I also went in and java is enabled.
So, I'm stuck again.
I can't understand why it'll work in IE and not firefox.Last edited: Apr 18, 2009anlgp likes this. -

Mine son and his friend are really befuddled and their both good with this stuff. I'm way out there with it. LOL
They tried every thing even going back a few days to re set the computer to before it stopped me from viewing vids. -

I'm just at a loss here.
Thanks for all your help. You guys are great to take up so much of your time with me. -
you take a flamethrower to your computer yet? sounds like it's getting to that point :chuckle:
-
I swear, I would have thrown it out the window if the guys hadn't stopped me. :tantrum:
I got vista from a friend. I appreciated it, I really did, but I've had more problems getting things back to normal. And I lost a bunch of the stuff I had saved etc.
And being as bad on here as I am, it's just been frustrating. -
did you try using internet explorer?
-
It's doing ok. I'll figure out firefox one of these days. I could only get in the chat room through firefox last season, so, I'll see what happens.
Thanks. -
i had this problem before, the quick fix for me was always to just bring up the task menu (ctrl-alt delete) and make sure the firefox.exe process wasn't running, then 'repairing' the internet connection. that usually did the trick for me

Unfortunately it could be something specific to your configuration and it may just take another update from Firefox to get you past this. If others are like section411 are having this issue as well, then it probably is an issue that has come to Mozilla's attention. Have you posted anything on Mozilla's website yet? If not you should. I would not be surprised if an update comes out soon that will correct the issue. Keep checking periodically to see if the problem "corrects" it's self. Firefox is SOOO much better than any form IE.
