My sons best friends wife is back in the hospital. She was in around Thanksgiving when I last wrote to you about her. She is in grave condition due to drinking. Her kidneys have shut down and there's so much else going on, I can't even write it all. Please pray for her husband Kevin, and their families. We spent the entire day Sunday with him at Cobb co. hospital. He's in pretty bad shape, as you can imagine. He has always been like a son to me. Thanks to all of you. I knew I count rely on you.
Up-Date We learned today that Kevin has to make the decision to take her off life support. He is waiting until Fri. morning when his mom and sister are there. Jeff and I aren't going, we don't feel Kev needs any extra stress. But, if they need us we'll go with no hesitation. Please keep him in your prayers.
I'm so sorry to hear that. It can be a very difficult and heart-breaking decision. But at least she'll be in a better place. Prayers go out to their family.
My dear friend - I'm so sorry to hear this. If you need anything, let me know. You've been there for so many people, please don't stress yourself out too. Take care.
Please add my prayers and best wishes to Kevin and his family. One quick note, I appreciate your desire to not complicate things with your presence thinking the more people the more confusion. You certainly know the folks involved so I defer to your judgement but please consider that your presence there might be a helpful shoulder to lean on when all the other family members are busy in their own grief. Just a thought.
It's 2:54 pm here. I just talked to Kev's mom and they were un-hooking everything as we spoke. They had asked them to leave the room of course. Their in pretty bad shape. So please raise them up in prayer for strength. Just as I was writing this his mom called me back. Kim passed away immediately after being taken off life support. She is going to call me later when she can talk better. Thanks every one, I think I'll go have a cry and prayers for them.
Have your cry, I am sure she was worth the tears. If Jesus can have wept over Lazarus whom he was about to resuciatate, we can certainly cry!
Thanks to all of you. They are having a memorial service tomorrow after church in Ackworth, GA. She will be cremated, but Kev wants the memorial tomorrow. A lot of the people from our church are going up there to support him and his mom. He's doing as good as we can expect. Thanks for all your prayers, you're a great bunch of friends. God bless all of you.
Thank you Mary. I sure will. They are having the service Mon. instead of tomorrow after church. You're such a good friend. I just talked to Jan (my friend, Kev's mom) and they are all doing ok. The whole family is there with him. Love you.
