There's a lot of hate going on in the media with LeBron and comparisons to Vick, Big Ben, etc. I thought I'd customize the question for Dolphans.
Who, among all Phins players, coaches, or owners, (any era) tops your most hated or disliked list?
Who, among all others, opposing players or coaches, a Vick or Big Ben, someone entirely different?

Dolphins:
- Pornstache
- JT (not because he left)
- Sammie Smith
- Jimmy Johnson for plaguing us with #1
- Olivadatti
Other Teams:
- Vick
- Rapingburger
- Namath
- Jim Kelly
- John Elway
- Rex Ryan
I'll add another category, Dolphins I should hate but don't:
- Saban
- Cam
- Westhoff
- Ray Lucas -
For me, its Brian Cox and Nick Saban.

Guest
inb4 Chad Henne
-
Dolphins:
Dan Marino
Zach Thomas
Non:
The entire 2007 NYG roster -
Cam Cameron
Ray Lucas
Every running back that stink during the Marino years
Our entire defense that stunk during the Marino years (minus Cross, Cox, Oliver, and Offerdahl)
Olivadotti
From other teams:
Brady
Bart Scott
Rex Ryan
The rest of the AFC East
Cortland Finnegan -
I have to add some "dislike" towards Zonk, Kiick, and Warfield leaving. Winning two titles and Robbie being cheap sure does soften the blow but I do often think of the what if's.
-
Oh and alligator arms.

Really disliked Joey Harrington.
Aside from that obvious performance-based hate, Cecil Collins and Marcus Vick were as good to hate as any, because they just shouldn't have been here. -
Reggie Howard
Jason Taylor
Daunte Culpepper
Channing Crowder
Thurman Thomas
Tom Olivadatti
Gary Stevens -
Gotta spread a little between Pat White and whoever picked him. He could have at least tried another position before walking away.
What's everyone's take on Ricky? I remember a Whole Lotta Hating going on when he quit. Then it all disappeared, with many really liking the guy. -
-
Thurman Thomas - Geez I hated rooting for him
Terrell Buckley - SOB was such a F**@N prick in my school. tried starting a fight with every one of us white boys. got his *** kicked a couple of times too.
Tom Olivadotti
Dan Henning -
-
Agree with most listed. I'll add Jay Fiedler for me.
Heard he's a cool dude and we've had way worse QBs since him but I remember being so frustrated going into season after season with him as our QB. -
Most of mine, stem from when the Dolphins were good...
Coach:
Tom Olividatti
Players:
J.B. Brown
Aubrey Beavers
Ferrell Edmonds
James McKnight
Wade Smith
Morlon Greenwood
Sammie Smith
John Avery
Tony Martin
Joe Nedney
Non-Dolphins:
Jim Kelly
Thurman Thomas
Andre Reed
Darryl Talley
Cornelius Bennett
Bruce Smith
Jumbo Elliott
Vinny Testaverde
Jim Harbaugh
Natrone Means
Stan Humphries
Well, that was pretty cathartic... -
I know it isn't the thread for it, but some players I loved that weren't big names:
Greg Baty
Jed Weaver
Lamar Smith
Jim Jensen
Chuck Klingbeil
Mark Higgs
Bernie Parmalee
Scott Miller -
-
Wow can't believe we're this far into it and have not had one mention of the Ginn Family.
-
Reggie Howard tops the list for me and Cleo Lemon is a close second. Seeing that I haven't watched football as long as some others here, my list isn't too long unfortunately (or fortunately?) lol. I do really like Nick Saban though. He's my favorite coach along with Belichick (shoot me now, I know) and even though I didn't follow Tom Olivadotti while he was coaching in Miami, he does a helluva job teaching pattern reading.

I don't "hate" any current or former Dolphins. Hate IMO is a strong word and I don't toss it around loosely. Players I didn't really like as players would include Sammie Smith and Billy Milner. I guess I could include any 2nd or 3rd rounder who has ended up being a bust.
Non Dolphins who I bordered on hating, first and foremost would have been Ben Davidson. When it comes to dirty cheap shot basterds, he made Romanowski look like an Eagle Scout. He was nowhere as talented as his linemate at the other DE, Ike Lassiter, but he had a bigger name.
In recent seasons, like the last 15 or so, I used to pretty much despise Doug Flutie. Nothing against him personally except he played for the Bills and Pats. Had he been a Dolphin, I'd have loved little Flutie.
Another guy, I used to despise, was the OL coach for the 49ers, Bobb McKittrick, because his linemen used a lot of potentially lethal tricks like leg whipping and double team chop blocks and I believe it all came directly from him. Some of this was used by 49er linemen, I recall it being Guy McIntyre, to intentionally injure and knock Karl Mecklenburg out of the Super Bowl one year. Like the 49ers really needed Mecklenburg out of the game to beat the Broncos. I guess they weren't taking any chances. Interesting that Tim Krumrie's broken leg in the Super Bowl came against that line. I'd have to look at that play again to say whether there was any obvious intent. -
If anyone wants to hate on a DC, may I suggest Chuck Studley or horror of horrors, Vince Costello.
Also as OCs go, Kippy Brown was much worse at his job than Oliviadotti ever was at his.alen1 likes this. -
Cammie and Sybian would be at the top of my list but the op said Dolphins and I dont consider either of them Dolphins
JT for dancing with the stars and being soft
Culpeper for signing for the $ and then playing scared, that dude knew he couldnt play anymore and signed anyway (see week one vs buffalo)
Henning for being Henning
Cox for disrespecting Shula
JJ for hand cuffing Dan for his system and then bailing and leaving nothing of value
Norv Turner for leaving the rushing title and sack title in the snow in NE with the lead and time on the clock and Ricky in the back field with 3 incompletions and a punt in the fourth quarter
Scott Mitchell, really dude?
The Jets
Chrebet or however the f* you spell it
Thurman Thomas for all those fing 3rd downs
the Chargers, in shape manner or form, (except Don Coryell and Fouts)
Parcells -
Anyone who gives Cox grief in this thread can get bent..... you all loved him and so did I.
Uncle Rico likes this. -
For me...it's Saban first and foremost...
-
Wow, there's some surprising names on that list...
Gary Stevens...Marino's mentor???
Jason Taylor???
Anyhow, is I were to name my MOST hated Dolphins of ALL time, they would have to include...
Coaches
Nick Saban; for adamantly saying he wasn't leaving Miami to become the head coach at Alabama...then leaving for Alabama as soon as the season was over
Dave Wandstadt; Enough said. There's a special place in hell for him and Saban.
Jimmie Johnson; For not giving Marino the help he needed in the twilight of his career.
Dan Henning; for calling 45 passing plays a game when playing a team ranked 29th in the league against the rush.
Tom Olividatti; for making a great defensive squad into a bunch of under achievers
Players
OJ McDuffie; for wasting his incredible talent on drugs
Lawrence Phillps; for giving him a chance and not taking advantage of it
Brian Cox; Although I LOVED his intensity, his temper always seemed to draw a penalty
Sammie Smith; Butterfingers
Daunte Culpepper; For not being Drew Brees -

I know you have been entrenched in your heettle love, but now that thats over, hopefully we will continue to see you around..
Not to kick a good man when he's down, but how do you explain a so called superstar, self proclaimed chosen one checking out of a series, quitting 2 seasons in a row..That dudes mental makeup was so predicatble it wasn't even funny?Bumrush likes this. -
About Lebron, all the self proclamations and Jordan talk is simply a mask.. His mental makeup evokes sympathy from me more than anything.. Just cause you have all the talent in the world and $$$, it doesn't reverse where you came from.. Crazy, drunk mom and no dad..
