Im not going to just throw out hyperbole over any coaching candidate, short Dave Wannstach.

Mularkey is know as an offensive mind. And...his offenses have produced. I dont think any coach would be set in old ways....and I think its worthwhile to hear what any qualified candidate has to say.

Personally, Im going into this open minded. I have my favorites, sure, but if guys like Alen arent vomiting over Mularkey, and he knows more about football then I ever will, then its prudent to just wait and hear what unfolds....

I don't think he'll be signed, but imagine if he was? "Hey Dolphins fans, your new coach is your OC from 2006 and TE coach from 2007, remember those fun years?"

Though the Falcons have been pretty good on offense...maybe the 2000s Dolphins just suck the life out of any coach that comes here.

 

He was alright in Buffalo. Some things didn't go his way, it happens. I'm not his biggest fan schematically speaking, but he does some nice things and has gotten his offense to produce despite some issues they had talent wise. I don't see why this would be a bad interview. Beats the hell out of Joe Philbin if you ask me. At least you know this guy was a HC at one point, had some success and could do better his second time around -- like coaches often do.

 

Just my two cents. Could very well be wrong. I don't think any hire will excite us at this point, unless they get some big name from the college ranks ala Chip Kelly or even Mike Leach. Both of those would probably be the few that excite me, but that's not going to happen.

 

Im not very keen on this idea. I'm not going to worry about it, till something happens, but I don't get a warm and fuzzy feeling from this.

 

I have no problem with Ireland, so I suppose I am considered an Ireland lover. But I would HATE this hire, Mike Poolarkey is not going to get us to where we need to go. Just another retread who has proven already that he doesn't deserve to coach here. He looks good in Atlanta because he has Ryan, Gonzalez, Turner, Jones, and White. The talent their is immense. Frankly, they should look better than they do.

I am not really sure. I wish they'd interview Rob Chudzinski and Tom Clements though. That'd be nice. As far as quarterbacks, I really do not know.

 

I'd be fine with Mularkey. I think he is viewed a bit unfairly for his time in Buffalo and his time here.

 

I think Randy Shannon is available.

Also, anyone feel like giving Martz the chance to redeem himself?
