Man, I keep ending up with Chambers in the late rounds.

I don't see why Chambers is a bad pick. He's San Diego's #1 WR, and therefore good depth on a week when your starting WR has a bad matchup.

True, but I was actually hoping to get a quality #1 TE around those spots....and to goad Aqua...:wink2:

Could be worse. My #3 WR in one I'm currently doing is Ted Ginn.

Todd Heap IS your quality starting tight end. Two words: Coryell offense.

Injury prone though and a reason why he dropped so far.

Drew in rd 5 of any draft is absolutely the correct pick. Chad Johnson is consistantly over 1200 yards so you must have been drafting with 10 year olds for him to fall that low in the 2nd draft.

Or people looking too heavily in that whole trade-me saga CJ's having.

That reason would be general ignorance of who he is. If you're in a public league, you're dealing with a group of namewhores who don't really know anything about football, they just take the biggest name each time they're up.

Todd Heap in the 11th is a steal.

Which is why I got him. I figure Cam's reliance on TE's, his previous history of 700+ yards and a few TD's, 0 other receiving threat, is more than enough to outweigh him coming off injury and QB questions. I had the same feeling about Jason Witten, who had a relatively off year with only 1 TD and questions about whether Romo would psychologically rebound.

Agreed. And for the people who use the same reasoning against Heap that they use against Vernon Davis--"He has no QB"--I remind you that Troy Smith looked remarkably good whenever he played, and Cameron may be able to get something out of Kyle Boller, and whichever of the two gets the job, they're going to need the safety valve that is the TE.

I like Boller and he's been able to show some sparks despite being a Tedford, thus crippled at birth, QB. He's someone I'm keeping an eye on throughout the preseason and regular season as someone to get off waivers.
