This guy is my hero and Fireman Ed is a wuss. If he had any balls, he'd have knocked that dude out!

Yes, this probably belongs in the AFC East Rivals sub-forum, but I think its beauty transcends that categorization.

Tanking is like taking a Greyhound bus cross-country. Sure, it may eventually get you where you want to go, but it’s messy and unpleasant and uncomfortable, it stinks, the entire time you’ll be wishing you weren’t there, and not everybody along for the ride is going to make it to the end. - Quote stolen from Deadspin

And remember, this was prior to the first kickoff ever in the first game in the new stadium NOT named Giants Stadium. You know Ed's been waiting all summer for his first chant. And some idiot in an Amani Toomer jersey tried to spoil it for him. And he just took it like a punk. None of Ed's friends even stepped in to help the guy.

I love it too, but why should Fireman Ed go to jail or get kicked out of a game for knocking that guy out.

At least Ed showed some civility. I am not going to knock him for that. The Giants fan should get knocked out, and I hope he did, but whoever did throw the hook isn't any better than the Giant fan douche.

Who am I kidding!! What a wuss!!

If Ed had decked the guy, there's no way in hell he would have gotten arrested or ejected. He'd be even more revered than he already is.

He wussed out. Plain and simple. Showed his true colors and the Giants fans showed em whose Stadium it really is. Like a dog, pissing on somebody else's front steps.

I love this guy.

This is why the Giants are my 2nd favorite team in the NFL.

If Ed had decked the guy, then he's being served assault charges as we type here. 10 million eye witnesses on National TV

Are you sure it wasn't the 2007-2008 Superbowl?

18-1

It seemed Fireman Ed pushed the Giants fan a few times, I think it was the other guy who showed civility by not escalating this, not the Jets #1 clown fan.

Anything bad or embarrassing that happens to the jests or jests fans is fine by me...go for it fellow.... I think the team officials/security would have to have done something if Ed had actually decked the guy...on national tv, they'd have had to do something...

The cops don't care who's stadium it is, or anything else. If Ed knocks that guy out or whatever he will get sued.

If people sue over hot coffee you think they won't sue over getting punched? Especially after he finds out he was on TV, it would be all over the place.

Looked like mutual pushing to me. Not sure how its written in new jersey but here barring no one going too far, no one would go to jail, I don't think.

thanks to VO for the sick ass sigs.

Thing is Garden he is a public servant, if he starts throwing punches, and gets arrested he would lose his job....I have to think he has thought of that...for as flamboyant he is, he has to know once and a while somebody is going to test him, and if he flips it wouldnt be good, and isnt worth it...however yes bro...he is a wuss and got punked!! Even if the cops didnt arrest him, the vic could have demanded they press charges, after all it is on nat'l TV....

Has he ever been to Miami before for a game??

1. No way he'd get arrested in New Jersey. If he was, Rex Ryan would spout off some crap and the charges would have been dropped.

2. At least one of his buddies coulda stepped in.

If he threw a punch?

Maybe he wouldn't have gotten arrested last night, but he sure has hell would've had a lawsuit on his hands today.

Nah man, he would gotten arrested in New Jersey, the fact he is a Jets fan would hurt him more than help him since our state- central and northern part at least - is Giants country.

Plus our State Troopers don't mess around.

Very true. It's still Giant country around here. The Jets will always be second fiddle to the Giants. He probably would've gotten arrested

If the act is on tape, and the guy wants to press charges, and the State Police dont press charges, the guy will simply lawyer up, and force them to do it, or they are going public with it...

How wouldnt get arrested if the guy wanted to press charges....only if here is a lack of evidence (guess that went out the window) or if Fireman Clown can prove that he was acting in self defense.....2 burdens that are hard to prove from Ed's POV...

anyone else besides me sick of seeing useless Jets threads in the Dolphin main. I come to the board to read Phin news and I get this garbage. I mean it is funny and all but there is a place for it. It is sad that Dolphin fans are so obsessed with the Jets, I hate the SOB's too but come on now. Last night was especially ridiculous.

Wait, what? Why knock the Giant fan out, he didn't do anything. Fireman Ed was the one pushing him around. Neither should of been kicked out.
