Chubby superheroes aren’t very common, and there is a good reason for that, as eighteen year old Daniel Zankman knows all too well. You see, young Daniel has had the ability manipulate the weather since he was in the third grade, but since retiring at the ripe old age of fourteen, Daniel has let himself (and his powers) go.
WeatherMaster is a 48,000 young adult urban fantasy novel that brings the quiet Deep South to life as a place that’s usually reserved for large metropolises, a playground for super powered heroes . . . and villains to play.
Daniel is one of twelve Masters, a group where each is imbued with a special talent, but there is a catch, as one is always destined to betray the others. For nearly two thousand years, the eleven have protected the citizens of the world in secret, but with cell phone cameras and the internet, the secret aspect of their whole operation is in serious jeopardy.
Forced back into service, young Daniel must train a spunky new Master while dealing with another that he doesn’t exactly get along with. When a long forgotten villain starts to grow his power, it’s up to the WeatherMaster and his friends to stop him, before the entire world becomes aware of their super powered existence.
At age 23 and being a professional Meteorologist, the vernacular of the world of weather is obviously something that comes naturally; however, it is the character of WeatherMaster that has been my constant imaginative companion for the better part of the last fifteen years and his story has become synonymous with my own.
The first in a three story arc, I would like to sincerely thank you for your time and considering for my novel, WeatherMaster.
