Fortunately for the Dolphins and their new defensive end from Penn State, there’s plenty of time for everyone to get better. A weekend minicamp primarily for rookies opened Friday in South Florida, with about 40 players taking the field in helmets and shorts, many of them starting an uphill quest to be around when the season opens for real in September.
