lol, sorry, if were lucky to land Nate burelson." No disrespect, but your evaluation of your player is so far off it's not funny..he's a washed up wanna be, a fake leader who's looking for a check..
I am going to take a wild guess and say you have nothing to say on the topic so as politely as i can put this.. Piss off.
Air2theThrown has been around Burleson in person and away from the cameras. I think that would be a pretty good situation to get a read on his actual personality. Have you been around him and interacted with him in person?
Choose the opinion of who you trust, what can I tell ya, you know me well enough, you know I don't say sh## for the hell of it..I would never say these things about another mans character unless I had a good feel of what this person is trying to accomplish. Like I said before, I don't care if someone met him at some gala event, of course he isn't going to be all about himself in an environment like that, you have to watch all the details, hours and hours observing the mans personality off the field to have formed the opinion. The guy is a total poser..you wanna take the chance that I'm wrong, then lets sign his *** and find out, then maybe I wouldn't have to defend my own opinion so much with my own friends.
I dont obsess over race like you do and i sure as hell dont throw around words like "poser" a word i havent heard since high school. Tells me the type of person you are though ~
Have you been around him and interacted with him in person, or do you think you can know enough about him to form such strong negative opinions from just seeing him on TV?
What the hell happened in here? I'll be real here, dj you should really stop with the "black" and "brother" stuff. It's not cute. As a black person, the favorite part of my day is always reading people diagnose what being black is. Especially when it's white people on the Internet. Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk
I will leave it at this.... Do a search for Nate Burleson and Charecter and you will find all positive stuff talking about his high charecter and leadership starting from college to now. His coaches and team talk the same way about him both on and off the feild all the way back to college. If he was fake and a poser like what's been suggested then it shouldn't be hard to find just "one" example. Heres some examples to support what I'm saying. From when he was drafted to now. http://min.scout.com/2/107415.html "Has good character and is a leader. Superproductive. " http://www.buckeyestatesports.com/n...rsuing-former-detroit-lions-wr-nate-burleson/ "Burleson would be a good influence and veteran leader on and off the field. "
That makes me want to not watch the draft. Some of the only days of the year I'll still subject myself to E!SPN and the likes.
I really meant to say that the debates on this thread will be more intense and widespread over probably every pick Miami makes. If we are debating a guy like Burleson, don't you think?
lol I agree, unfortunately. However a few of the people who were most notorious for starting the kind of debates we're talking about seem to be missing, so that's nice.
Veteran receiver Nate Burleson has decided to sign with Cleveland instead of Miami. The Dolphins wanted to sign him, but he saw a better opportunity with the Browns because they have fewer veteran receivers. Yes the topic is Burleson and i was replying to an idiots racist comments. If you dont like that. Tough ****.
I really could care less about a player's personality as long as a) he produces, b) doesn't cause a locker room issue, and c) stays out of trouble off the field - then whatever. What bothers me about the Dolphins interest in Burleson is that he's not very productive. I don't really like him as a player. He's the kind of guy you want if you want a totally mediocre passing game. And, at his age, he's not a special teams player. Get some real talent in that is either young or explosive or both and can contribute to a title winning team. I hate it when a team "settles" for mediocrity which is what Miami has done so often. I'm fine with a big play WR coming in but Burleson? Really?
If all Burleson wants is to make money then retire, why would he sign with a team where he'll get much more usage and no sure quarterback? Sent from my GT-P3110 using Tapatalk
Oh jeez, everyone so freakin sensitive..crock of crap. Getting offended because I said he " tries to act black", and others asking me to explain is a waste of your time, your looking for something hassle about..
im right here, how you got that out of my comments is disturbing. Nate burelson tries to act black.. Nate burelson is a poser. If you'll construe those statements differently then I'm proposing, if your exaggerating the context and not intuitive to the opinion that the two races have different cultures, them then like you said, tough ####.. Why I know this is BS, for a long time I spent half my life living in the hood, grew up in it and working with an owner and best friend who is black and who runs a non-profit organization dealing with fostering parenting for mentally challenged/violent/ schizophrenic severely disturbed patients who are mainly 95 percent African American in Hampton Virginia. They know what I mean when I say brothers.and that's all that matters, If y'all take it wrong then I guess it's because you don't know me.
This is a Nate burelson thread.. Dennis hickey is a flawed GM...lets hope his isn't as big as the others.
then explain what you meant. Otherwise, I'd say you didn't convey your message very well. Either way that's on you.
WTF is "black" in the context of personality? I'm assuming you're referring to the home boy stereotype who uses ebonics, profanity, and a ghetto mentality. If that is true, then you must really dislike black people if that's what black means to you.
