I know Chambers isn't a fin anymore but I know people here are still fans of him
I like the list because it is written by a guy who has covered all of them..Not some guy who sits behind a desk and rattles off the biggest names

Yea I like Chris Chamber I woiuld agree with that spot
-
That's nice to see. I only wish he would have had some better QB play when he was here. Hopefully this will help to disprove that he isn't a #1 WR.
-
I hope that Chambers has a pro bowl season this year. I was a fan of his and wish him the best. Unfortunately it probably was time for him to go. We needed the draft pick and he would have been too old when we are ready to contend.
-
I dunno about that one. He was too inconsistent. He dropped easy passes but made some of the greatest catches Ive ever seen in a Fin uni. I have his jersey I'll sport it Sunday along with my Ronnie Brown jersey.

I miss CC...

I'm a big Chambers fan (thus the 84 in my name) but I'm not buying that he's 6th. Just from the list Clements gave I'd put him below Andre Johnson. I'd probably throw Boldin and Fitz above him also. Closer to 10 seems more accurate to me. Nice to see him getting some respect from his colleagues though.
-
I think he rated Chambers soooo high was the fact he played him twice a year.
Chambers(when not dropping the easy ones) had a few good games against him also. -
The reason Chris Chambers is so enthusing as a WR is because he has the ability to make Top 10 type catches, but he is way inconsistent with dropping passes and running routes incorrectly. If he did get more consistent such as he did in the pro bowl year he can certainly do that but right now, no way he is #6 WR in the league.
-
i never wouldve thought of him as even a top 15. He just dropped too many easy balls and that always drove me nuts, but i guess if a man who covers most WRs says hes number 6, i have to go with him
-
If Clements means Chambers is the 6th best talented WR in the NFL - I might agree with that assessment.
-
Was I the only one to see Hines Ward so high on that list? Great receiver no doubt, but ahead of T.O.?

And then check his playoff numbers:

The man is money. -
Man you guys keep talking about dropped passes. THe last two years that I have checked, guess who's dropped more passes? People like Braylon Edwards, Reggie Wayne, Randy Moss, TO, Andre Johnson, the list goes on.

That's for 2007

I'd be interested to see a breakdown of these WRs as they matched up against Clements (ie games, yards, TDs, etc.) I'm sure that individual performances against him specifically probably influenced his picks somewhat. If I remember, Chambers had some huge games against him, so it would make sense for him to rate him so high. Really, if we wanted something more accurate, we'd have to poll the starting CBs in the league and see who came out on top.

I kinda feel bad for CC. The prime of his career was seemingly wasted with the bums we've had playing QB. Maybe he had his inconsistencies, although it would've been nice to see what could've been.
Hopefully his potential is realized in SD. -
From PFW:
According to wiki, I know not the most accurate of sources, but he was only thrown at 31 times the whole year, with 10 completions. That is mind-numbing, no matter if it's off be a few here or there.alen1 likes this. -
It shows how good these corners are playing despite some of these dumb rules that they have made.Last edited: Mar 26, 2008Ronnie Bass likes this. -
Chambers was good but inconsistent. If we had a top echelon WR at No1 to partner Chambers would have put up alot more 100yd games. To me he wasnt quite the No1 we all expected him to be. Having average to below average QB's certainly hurt Chris. How he does now with Rivers will be interesting to watch.
