Sucks bc he was very good on special teams.

ST as a whole is starting to concern me since Wake might be getting the start on D and we'll prob be losing Jason Allen and Akin Ayodele as well.

I like Nate jones quite a bit. I thought he was a pretty good nickle. How does this affect Davis, Smith and W. Allen? Does this mean one of them are moving to the nickle spot or does J. Allen somehow move in there? I'm pretty interested in seeing this one play out.

sadly nate jones stands to obtain a pretty decent contract in this free agency. He's arugably one of the top 5 CBs this offseason.

That is the very reason he won't be back. will allen comes back too but who knows what happens with that situation. i like nate jones thought he was a good nickel guy who also did a decent job job getting to the QB when his number was dialed up on a blitz.
    Only 27.
    Hate to see him go.

I agree with the other posers so far. He played well for us and I hate to see him go. And time and time again we have seen that the nickle position isn't as easy to fill as moving an outside cover guy inside to cover the slot. It takes a slightly different skill set to make a successful move inside and Nate did it very well.

Depth is hard to keep strong the good ones have to make sure they earn top dollar one way or another.

Love Nate. Great on special teams and a decent nickel back. Jersey guy too. I wish him the best.
