i play 2k every year. I always like the game a lot. But in the end, the game hasn't changed too much since the dreamcast days. I still pretty much hate playing defense. I get torched by second rate guys like Earl Watson or Delonte West all the time. Like when i play the cavs, Lebron gets 5 points on me and Delonte gets 30. Never makes sense. I hope they work on some of the post. They never quite figured out a way to make the post offense and defense work, and that really takes away the value of guys like Dwight Howard and Garnett. let me know how it is. I will play it eventually.
Yep. Can't wait. Not overly optimistic though. 2k9 was a complete joke online. If only Live didn't have such ****ty graphics and gameplay, because they're online play is amazing
Im looking forward to this game, i always love the 2k Basketball games. Has anyone tried the 2k10 Draft Combine? Is it worth the purchase or since the game comes out in a few days should i just wait? Also im pretty excited about "My Player" seems like it could be a very cool feature as sometimes i do get a little bored just playing franchise mode
I would just hold off and wait for 2k10 to drop unless you want your My Player to get a stat boost when you play the real thing. I got it and its basically a 5 on 5 scrimmage with scrubs.
Any word on online play? Online play was a disaster last year, if that hasn't been improved I'm going to pass on 2k10.
Didn't play online yet. Did the typical Mor thing by inviting people to the game that I know don't have it. I played mostly the My Player mode (Super Star Mode). I am a PG and i'm not very good. Decided to be a 3 point specialist. The game is pretty tough on grading you. Bad shot selection or passing all count against you. Every time the guy you're manned up against scores, it's a ding. I ended up going to a minor league team, the LA Defenders. Trying to get invited to an NBA team. So far it's pretty fun.
Good to hear. I'll be waiting to hear about the online play considering that's all I really play. 2K9 had the worst servers you could possibly have so here's hoping that's changed. Not to mention all the dumb **** that happened in 2k9. Going up for a layup/dunk was impossible, all you had to do was jam the steal button and you got a glitch strip every time. Bounce passes at peoples feet every time. Very weird charge animations, etc. So long as the servers are fixed I'll be happy. You couldn't even play team-ups on 2k9 due to lag, so if that's still a problem, I won't even waste the time to d/l it.
With the right sliders, this is the best sports sim I've ever played in terms of game play. No doubt. FYI, for all you realistic simmers out there, these sliders kick *** (I tweaked them a bit in my game). I've been using his since 2k7: http://www.operationsports.com/forums/nba-2k-sliders/366076-playmakers-2k10-all-star-sliders.html
