Just pray that the NFL lets the exclusivity agreement expire.
I'll give it a try. I was on default, but sucked to bad so I actually had to put it down on rookie (played 2k10 on all-star). I'm used to it enough where I'm needing to bump up the difficulty. I'm still having trouble with creating non-3 pt shots (ie in the paint, and driving to the hole).
So I just got the game and played two quick exhibition games on the default settings. This game is MUCH harder and I love it. Last year i would go undefeated easy and I never called plays or anything like that. I played my first game Heat vs Lakers and got murdered, there defense was really good. Then i played a Heat vs Clippers game and beat them 58-34. I really like how they make the good teams actually good.
The new dribbling system takes some getting use to and will probably take a few weeks to get it down, however when you have Wade n Bron it makes it alittle easier. Also I am going to have to learn how to run plays, otherwise i don't know if I will ever beat a top defensive team, its just to hard to score on them. I haven't gotten into franchise mode yet, which is usually all i play, so i hope they added some new stuff but either way I am really loving this game.
Yeah, it's much harder this year.... I was on HOF last year and I can't win even with the Heat (unless I try to cheese the entire game) at anything above All Star.
It seems like purchasing Madden every August is routine, but if 2k ever gets the go.... I'll probably never play another Madden game as long as I live. They need to develop a soccer game to give FIFA some competition.
I'm on pro-simulation now. It's a lot of fun. I probably need to go to all-star (since I haven't lost since switching difficulties), but I don't play every game and sim most of them.
Playing this game for a week now, this game needs a multiplayer patch badly. Holy **** do the stupidest things happen in team up games.
So I just bought the game tonight and was playing the quick games. Did they get rid of the all star generations, like the 50's, 60's and 70's all stars and such, or am I just missing them or are they unlocks?
My Player is hard as hell...I haven't gotten this pissed off at a game for a while
Okay Im definitely returning 2k11 tomorrow. Never gotten so angry at a game . I'll just save my 60 bucks for fallout.
They didnt get rid of them they just replaced them with old teams instead of all star teams. Still no Barkley...
It's not like he ever showed up in big games anyway
My Review of the game.
First of all I have to tell you as a life long Jordan fan I was excited as hell about this game. I have played 2K for yrs and have been a beast at user games for just as long. But I have to tell you I am almost over playing it. The MJ thing is cool but the challenges almost are boring for me. The close shots that you miss on this engine are ridiculous. I have never in my life seen a NBA player miss as many shots as you can on this game right under the basket. I switch the controls to Default A, always have. I like having the spin move as Y and the crossover as B. The buttons are almost non responsive, its ridiculous. When I set a screen the screen is almost always blown up. The difficulty between rookie and pro is way too extreme. Rookie is way too easy and Pro has just too many glitches. If you dont switch to complete control on the passing you will throw alot of turnovers. Over all I have to say I am kind of dissapointed. My biggest quirk against the game is the gameplay. Last year it was so fluid it was amazing. This yr its almost like thie NCAA11 engine with its idiotic animations. I am going to play with it some more to see if I can get some of the bugs worked out, or maybe they will send a patch I dont know, but if not I'm going back to 10.
I have no problem with responsiveness of buttons. The gameplay is quite fluid for me.
Maybe its me then, I jam the buttons and they do nothing for me.
Maybe because I mostly use the thumbsticks, I dunno man.
Do you keep it on default? We have to play sometime.
lol...are you sure?You seem uncertain.
I didn't even know it was an option until you said you changed the controls.
I'm thinking about picking this game up for the Wii. I know the Wii sucks and all that - but has anyone played it on this system? Is it worth it?
i had it on wii, pc, and 360 last year, and it's awful for the wii. you shoot by moving the wii control, but the character animations aren't the same as the motion you're making. a shake to the right might end up in a fade away or something dumb. i found it very hard to dunk too. check out reviews for 2k10. other people had this same issue. imo, it's best on pc (with a controller).
