EA is supposedly rebuilding and renaming NBA Live. It's been garbage for this and the previous console generations. Without an exclusive deal with the NBA, EA can't sell the game... So looks like they're gonna actually try to make a good one. http://www.joystiq.com/2010/06/02/nba-elite-11-officially-announced/ "Physics" seems to be the new buzz word in regards to sports games. Maybe it's just me.
Wait, you mean they're not going to just focus on getting the graphics of sweat rolling down the acne on player's faces and actually focus on the god-awful animations and physics engine? Hmm. Heaven forbid they make should a good NBA "Elite" game this way. I guess they finally learnt something from the 2k series. And yeah, I'd agree that those long *** animations got annoying, especially when they happened to completely ignore physics half the time (ala Madden*cough*). By the way, how hard is it to integrate the right stick into shooting like in NBA 2K8 and beyond? And lol @ "Accurate User Input"
God let's hope EA fixes their game... NBA 2K9 and 2K10 were awful, and quite frankly, have no hope in 2K sports to fix it.
I dream of the day there is a NFL 2k10 coming out. Then I wake up and see the same crappy animation since Madden NFL 99.
2k Sports has been putting out NBA 2k7 with updated rosters for the last three years and it's still a significantly better title. I have no faith in EA developing a solid next gen basketball game, but we'll see....
