http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=5448979 Personally, I hope this happens. Ilitch bought the Wings, and turned them around in the 80's, and is well known as a great owner to work/play for. He'll stop at nothing to see his teams succeed for the fans. He's done well with the Wings thats for sure, and he's done a nice job turning the Tigers into a good team as well with the World Series run a few years ago, they are at least a competitive team right now. He'd do great things for the Pistons as well, no doubt. The biggest, and best part of this IMO, is it would probably lead to a new arena being built downtown in Detroit near Comerica Park & Ford Field. Ilitch owns a ton of land surrounding Comerica Park as it is, and it would be a great place to move the Pistons to get them back into the city of Detroit, instead of an hour or so away (Mind you the Palace of Auburn Hills is a nice arena) but it would also give the Red Wings a chance to get out of aging, and rather useless Joe Louis Arena. It's a bigtime win for Detroit if this goes through IMO.
