I was really disappointed with NCAA 12, but after being talked into it by a friend I will be purchasing NCAA 13. I was wondering who else was going to get it on here and if they would be interested in participating in an online dynasty.
I've been thinking of getting this or Madden- It's been a long time since I purchased a current football game. I think the last one I got on time was Madden 09. How's the gameplay this year?
Skeet, Stitches, and a few others (not all on this site) participate in one on Xbox... I'm sure you could join if you're interested.
Supposedly they revamped the physics engine as well as did an overhaul on the career mode (franchise/superstar)... so I guess we'll have an answer in August. I didn't think Madden 12 was anything special but I am holding out hope for Madden 13... we'll see though.
If I could only choose one or the other I would definitely go with Madden. A lot of the times they use NCAA to work out bugs for Madden. Plus I find Madden a bit more enjoyable than NCAA. Also NHL 10 is an incredible game if you are looking for a cheap fun game.
Thanks for the headsup. I'll DL the NCAA demo and compare it to the Madden one when it comes out. Last hockey game I got was NHL07... still play it til this day lol. I will look into 10- it should be dirt cheap by now. Really the most modern sports game I have is NBA 2k11... couldn't resist not getting the updated Heat rosters.
Do they have only leagues in Madden? One where we could conceivably have a fantasy draft and essentially an online franchise mode?
Thinking of picking this up. Can 3 or 4 people play on the same screen in this game? That is why I am not getting new Madden, they cut that out. So I want NCAA to replace my Madden franchise.
My thoughts on the game: Game play is fun and a lot more realistic (which takes some adjusting to). You can't throw accurately off your back foot, without looking at the WR, and on the run. The game shows you when the WR is looking back at the QB. They allow you to change philosophies for different units in game; for instance if its 3rd and 7 you can make your WRs concentrate more on catching that ball than trying to make a big play after they catch the ball. Recruiting is improved, but still tedious. The actual game play and speed of the game is pretty accurate. CBs can't see and react to the ball if they are not looking at the ball (in old games the CBs would react to a thrown ball even if they had their backs to the ball). They added different passes so now you can throw the ball on a rope one play and then make a nice easy throw the next. I play on All-American and have found the game to be pretty difficult. I am playing as a OC for both Clemson and Arizona State (I started one online dynasty and one offline). In both dynasty modes I have had a hard time winning. I have thrown no less than 4 interceptions in every game I have played on All-American. Its annoying gaining over 500 yards of offense and still losing because you throw a bunch of picks. Its really realistic in the fact that you have to mix up the run and pass to be effective. If you only do one of them the offense will key in on what you are doing and stop it. Also if your QB throws 2 picks close together forget about it; it seems to really get in their head and mess them up leading to more problems. If you do have two quick turnovers its best to slowly get your QB going again with quick, short, easy passes. Overall: 7.5/10 The improvements are good, I just hate how long it takes to go through one year (normally takes about 4-5 hours). The game should engross me for about a month (maybe less) then I will probably play it sparingly.
Sorry for not looking into this further, bro... I have probably spent a total of 1 hour playing the game thus far because I've been busy with work and such.
No worries bro, no need for an apology. Life always gets in the way. Either that or you don't like me and purposely put me off while I anxiously awaited your response without realizing that google could probably help more quickly but where do I begin looking maybe youtube but either way you lied to me.
