Major violations due to the cheating scandal. Losing scholarships and forfeiting many games from 2006 & 2007.

I think Bobby Bowden was just trumped and will now retire before the season starts.

Just a from everything I have read and Christian Ponder will have just finished his senior year. Ponder is the Best QB they have had in awhile and I am interested to see how he will progress.

He may stick around for that, I see what you mean. But the pressure may be strong, and if Jimbo Fisher gets antsy, I could see it happening after this year.

No doubt it could happen at any time. However I think it also depends on how well the Noles do this year. If they do very well than he will saty however if the do bad I could see it turning ugly.

Wow, kind of surprised everyone focused on Bobby here and not the issue. As a Gator fan, of course I am happy to see any sanctions on a rival. However, it does seem like stiff penalties for self reporting. I wonder how bad it would have been if it the NCAA initiated the investigation!?

The funny thing is Bobby has never run a truly clean program and now it costs him what he covets most the all time win record.

The problem with this scandel is the university not Bobby Bowden. I have alot of respect for Bowden and what he has done even for a rival school. I think people are making him out to be something he is not. I think the penalty is where it needs to be only because they played ineligable players

    Well away from here
I can tell you that it doesn't matter to the NCAA infractions committee. Whether you self report or not only matters in public opinion, not to them.

And the question is did they continue to use those players they knew were under the cloud of suspicion. That is why the penalties are so stiff. They should have suspended the playing of all of the athletes involved, but it appears they didn't do that until well after the scandal.
